We imported a Clydesdale Stallion from Armageddon Blood lines in the United States as it is possibly the tallest and most athletic of the cold blooded horses. We breed strictly and only to mares with a minimum height of 17 hand/171cm, We are committed to meet our ultimate objective and that is to breed a proper South-African Hunter, much along the lines of an Irish- or Canadian Hunter. Athletic, big b***d, and a solid frame, yet with the quick mindedness of the South African thoroughbreds.

Sadly Wolf Hunter Stud is coming to an end as Otto the last stallion has been gelded. His semen was not good enough for freezing. Otto is now for sale to a good home. He is a stunning 17.2/3hh boy. Good natured and willing but needs regular excersizes and training which I unfortunately no longer have time for. He is a young 6 year old with limited training and has scope and potential. He is good on outriders on his own or in a group. He is found a new home 20 minutes after we out up this offer and he will be joining his Sire in CT for a life of luxury and live like a king

Otto's very first show at age 5. 60 and 80cm classes. He was a little nervous with so many people and horses around but behaved impeccably in the small warm up arena with 19 other horses and although he stopped twice for a scary jump he was careful and didn't touch a single pole. We were both a bit off-balance as he tried to hurry and run at the jumps and I had to hold him back to force him to jump and not just fly over. I am very proud of him after such a short training period. He has slowed down a lot in the past 2 months and become more confident and balanced but we need a few more months and lessons to really chill and take it easy over jumps and have some fun.

Our boy Otto is getting better and better, quiet and confident. Ideal for breeding a fantastic utility horse, point and jump up to 120cm with ease and canter on a buckle. Not everyone wants to jump 160cm. Photos by Lucinda Engelbrecht. Chilled and Frozen Semen available De Bruyn Equine in the next week's.
