Lucky Lad and Cosmic Speed will take their place in the Horse Chestnut Stakes (Grade 1) tomorrow at Turffontein Racecourse.

Lucky Lad is a class act. We have been reluctant to go the mile, but in Cape Town he showed without a doubt that he is capable of getting the trip. Even though this is at altitude, we expect him to have his customary finishing burst.
Cosmic Speed has had a perfect prep for his toughest test to date, not only in terms of strong opposition but distance too. He is in great shape, and I am hoping he is involved in the mix.

Legend Of Arthur is certainly up to this class; he has a lot in his favour with a good draw and Fourie in the irons. He strips a fit horse, and with luck in running, he is a big runner.
Don’t Cry For Me takes a quantum leap in class. While his earlier form and rating suggest he has a lot to do, his last win was eye-catching.

Gerbera and World Of Alice will represent #TeamTarry in the G1 Wilgerbosdrift SA Fillies Classic.
Here’s what trainer Sean Tarry had to say about his two contenders.
Gerbera is a beautiful, big, and strong filly. She takes a quantum leap in class and is out at the weights based on rating, but this is the only G1 left this season for 3YO fillies. She is on an upward trajectory and could just raise her game further here.
Don’t be fooled by World of Alice’s last two runs. She ended up way too far back in slow run races but was low flying late on both occasions. She is up to this class and will enjoy the course and distance. Ignore at your own peril.
