Sean Tarry Racing celebrated a double at Monday's Turffontein meeting. The meeting had originally been scheduled for Saturday, but inclement weather had forced the change of date.

Blue-blooded c**t One More Star saluted in Monday's second race for Sean and his team, with stablemate King Of Venus providing the yard with a second win when victorious in the tenth and final race at Turffontein.

Monday (11 Nov) sees the running of the G3 Betway Victory Moon Stakes (1800m) at Turffontein. Sean Tarry Racing will be sending out former Equus Champion Future Pearl to contest this R400 000 feature.

Sean had this to say about Betway Summer Cup hopeful: "Future Pearl, who was beaten two lengths in the July, is also low on the log. He needed his first run after a break and will strip a fitter horse in the Victory Moon. However, this run will bring him to his peak, and while we are expecting further improvement in this race, he will still need this run to bring him too his peak for the Summer Cup... "

The Tarry stable is set to be represented by three runners in the 2024 G2 Allied Steelrode - Onamission Charity Mile, to be run at Turffontein on November 2nd.

Jicama 89 has been drawn as the charity to be represented by Litigation at the upcoming Charity Mile.

Sean had this to say about Litigation : “Litigation needed his run after a long break. We are expecting vast improvement, which will give us the confidence that he is on his way back.”

Jicama 89’s primary purpose is to support deserving organizations in their efforts to meet the needs of those less fortunate and able. Jicama 89 started assisting the Sibonile School for Visually Impaired and Disabled Children in 2007 and has been actively involved in supporting the children in the care of the Sibonile School. Jicama 89 has recently adopted 2 additional schools: the 2nd school, The Harvey Cohen Centre, and the 3rd school, Isizwe Setjhaba SID School. This profile seeks to make individuals and the public aware of the task of educating children with visual impairment, mental and physical impairment, and severe intellectual disabilities.

The Hamlet Foundation has been drawn as the charity to be represented by Celtic Rumours at the upcoming Charity Mile.

Sean had this to say about Celtic Rumours: “Celtic Rumours made a courageous seasonal debut, winning the G2 Betway Joburg F & M Spring Challenge. She is particularly well weighted in this field and is extremely well. There is a slight concern over the draw and the distance.”

The Hamlet Foundation is an NGO founded in 1954. They have grown and developed to include a school for 270 intellectually disabled children, a residential centre for 54-60 intellectually disabled adults, and a protective workshop for 200 intellectually disabled adult workers. They aim to develop and empower the individual towards achieving their maximum potential, enabling them to lead as normal a life as possible.

Sean had this to say about Hotarubi: “Hotarubi made his presence felt last season in the 3YO classics. He needed his comeback run over a distance short of his best, in which he was finishing off very well. He is a fitter horse now and will certainly enjoy the step-up. He is not out of it.”

Cotlands is an NGO that focuses on creating play-based early learning opportunities for young children from previously disadvantaged backgrounds.
