Bridless riding
Just a bit of lockdown fun π after lots of natural horsemanship groundwork which lead to our liberty on the ground I decided to take it to the next step in my riding. I often rode her in just my rope halter already. With lots of practise (with a bridle at first) I finally took it off. She handled it beautifully, listening to my body and voice commands quickly. Albeit grumpy in the canter but overall very relaxed. So proud of you Calπ
Backing the Natural horsemanship way π I'm still learning and will be going to the Russel Higgins clinic next weekend. So excited. This was only my 3rd time on this gorgeous mareπ΄ thank you to her awesome owner for teaching me this method π΄
Meet Lady Jane π she is a 7 year old Fresian mare who is being backed by me. Her owner has been using natural horsemanship techniques for her groundwork since she was 2 years old. Her owner hired me and asked and instructed me on how to back her using the same techniques. This is my third time on her back (yes we backing bareback and in a halter) and she's already bending, stepping, allowing me to change rope hands without a worry. I will be going to clinics to learn more about this so I can apply it in my schooling. Big things to come with this mareπ
