Our main focus is sterilization, vaccinations, medical care, education and feeding over 2500 Dogs and Cats in the Jackson's Drift Township South of Johannesburg. With over 33000 residents and over 2500 animals. We help by Sterilizing, Vaccinating, deworming and so, so many Casualties. We also have server Parvo outbreaks and Billiary. Sadly Jacksons is a very violent Township for not only animals b

ut residents as well, especially the elderly. Poisonings of pets is horrifying. why....To break into each other's shacks or if one resident has a disagreement with another, they take it out on the pets. Our number one passion is Sterilizing, for this helps us saving hundreds of lives. When a Resident gives us permission to sterilize their pet, we put in a kennel, blankets and a Tyre with large bowl so the pet does not knock the water over and a large bucket of food monthly. Educating them on the care and safety is also our main focus. We go thorough 2000 kilos of Dog food a month and around 200 kilos of cat food. We have medications, cleaning materials and F10 ect to insure that viruses are not spread. When animals are surrended or when Mother dogs are poisoned we work closely with A New Hope Dog Rescue in Daleside and Woodrock in Hennops. We also have a lovely Foster Mommy that takes in and then once they healed off to the rescue. dealing with a rescue and not myself is vital for me as the correct paper work is done and signatures required for potential owners to promis to bring them back at 5 to 6 months for Sterilization. We do the Vaccinations and the rescue goes far and beyond doing home checks to insure the animals go into good, safe and loving homes. We host dip and deworm days every 6 to 8 weeks to keep the ticks and fleas at bay. And we put in and hand our blankets as soon as donated to us. We are always in the need of Blankets, previously loved Kennels, Bowls collers and leads. Donations are vital to our surviving in these hash times as we have staff salaries medications, Cleaning Materials, Veterinary Clinic Bills Pawrangers Pocket money and so much more. For any further information on our Passion to save lives, please don't hesitate to Whatsapp me on 083 414 6144

Dog Poisoned by the Diffuser.
On Saturday night, the owner arrived home late, and the dog didn’t recognize him. Given her background as a nanny, she assumed the pup might have been startled awake or even experiencing a night terror. However, on Sunday, the dog was still acting off. That’s when she remembered her new diffuser had been running and decided to turn it off. By Sunday afternoon, things seemed a bit better.

The next day, the dog sitter mentioned that the dog wouldn’t come out from under the bed—a real surprise for a usually cheerful pet. The owner hurried home early and found her dog looking confused and scared once again. Alarmed, she took him to the emergency vet.

It turned out that the tea tree oil used in the diffuser is toxic to dogs. Fortunately, tests showed that his liver was okay, but the situation was still serious. The vet administered fluids under his skin to help eliminate the toxins.

According to both the vet and poison control, these cases are becoming more common as essential oils grow in popularity. They urge everyone to double-check that the oils they’re using aren’t hazardous to their pets. ThePaws.net - All Things Dog
