We are 8 years young today.

8 years ago today we groomed 5 dogs, 3 were my own 🤣.
We have grown since then, thanks to our loyal customers.❤️

A few weeks ago, I came across Jean Chucky and Ziarra walking to the shops in Edleen.
Upon interacting with Jean and his very loved and obedient fur baby, I was smitten.
Ziarra had already had two litters, Jean said he was unemployed and could not afford to sterilize her.
I offered to groom her and sterilize her.

7 years ago, I took a risk and decided to venture into the unknown, completely inexperienced and no plan B.
7 years later, I'm thankful that I did. It has come with its challenges but it also has its blessing and for both, I am eternally grateful.

As we turn another year, a huge thank you goes out to all our loyal, long standing clients, and to the new ones that take a chance on us, thank you for choosing us over the many out there.

We groomed a rabbit today, severely matted one.
The weight of the matts must have been causing such discomfort for the little boy.

Buzz was his name.😍

We can now safely say he has become Buzz Light Hare

Rabbit... Hare..same.. same.. But different 😂😂😂

Almost 7 years in the business and we still do it with the utmost care, passion and patience.

We have some heartbreaking news to share about HuskyRomi, Africa's biggest wolf sanctuary. Unfortunately, due to financial turmoil, the sanctuary is drowning and unable to keep up with the running costs. Without immediate help, we will have to shut down our doors within the next two months.

As you may know, HuskRomi has been a vital sanctuary for wolves and huskies in Africa, providing a safe haven for over 250 animals including wolves, huskies, wolf dogs, dogs, horses, and a bull named Moo. We urge everyone to come together and help save HuskyRomi. Whether it's through donations, spreading the word, or volunteering your time and skills, every contribution counts. And we are truly happy with the outcome.

All credit to Shadrack from SDK designs in Pomona, Johannesburg.

So we are now equipped with a DB unit, this means no risk of tripping the power at your home.

Plus we have a water tank, although we still need to connect to your water, in the event of you not having water or us not being able to get to your garden tap, the water tank kicks in, so your fur babies can still be groomed

Some expansion news🎊🎊

We are happy to announce that's Sue's Mobile Pet Spa has bought one half of the much loved and highly recommended Edenvale business Shimmer n Shine.
We were fortunate enough to capture this gem with some of their grooming staff and a very strategised split of the client database.

The other half of the business was sold to Carol and Gary.
I would like to take this opportunity to wish them every success in their new venture, as
Nana’s Pooch Boutique grows from strength to strength.

With this we will now be servicing all of Shimmer n Shine Alberton and Surrounds clients.

❌ PLEASE DON'T PURCHASE RAWHIDE FOR YOUR PUPS ❌

The vast majority of these rawhide products & treats come from China.

Their journey starts with the hides being soaked in a toxic sodium sulphide to remove the hair and fat. More chemicals are used in order to split the hide into layers which is then washed with hydrogen peroxide to give the white "pure" look and remove the rancid smell - Now comes the pretty festive colours and the glue to form cute shapes.

They regularly cause intestinal blockages & choking. The chews go slippery when wet & are near impossible to get a hold of to save a choking dog.

Please be safe with your dogs lives. ❤
