And people who never even knew about our Easter Egg charity drive saw this and contributed?

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝗳 this image was shared on every community whats app group, Facebook closed group or we posted it on our status?

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝗳 this post was shared with the same enthusiasm and vigor that bad news, gossip and name and shame posts get shared?

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝗳 775 individuals each arrived at our practice tomorrow with one box each.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝗳 we remember that each box is meant for a child who hasn’t had anything other than mielie meal or bread, left overs or porridge the entire year.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝗳 we told you that the little bare foot children in Boksburg North squeal whilst they queue in the feeding scheme line because they can’t afford lunch at school and are told all about an “animal doctor” who collects these eggs each year with them in mind.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝗳 we realised that this is the first gift and visit our seniors in retired homed will receive for the full year.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝗳 we knew that this will be the only food a nurse in a special needs home has time to eat on Friday during her shift?

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝗳 we saw the faces of the children at the oncology wards receiving chemotherapy for their cancer when they are gifted little packets of eggs?

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝗳 we told you about the teachers in impoverished areas that cry when they get to hand out something that isn’t expired to their “kids.”

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝗳 we remembered that there are people who have lost everything since COVID and had to move to a caravan park.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝗳 you knew how far tiny children walk to collect free dog food and this weekend they will run even faster when they see the Easter eggs.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝗳 we made a real effort, to try and reach an impossible goal by Sunday 12:00 and collect 775 boxes of Easter eggs.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝗳 it starts with you?

Should you not be able to drop a box off, send with PNP, Checkers sixty60, dash or similar a financial contribution can be made and we will order ourselves from Mario at PNP Farrarmere.

Every year Dr Bull embarks on collected thousands of Easter eggs for under privileged children & the often forgotten senior citizens in frail care and “old aged” homes.

We very rarely see him get this excited.
Normally it’s when he is making great plans to fix, repair or pioneer some brilliant plans for one of our many dogs.

So once a year we watch with much amusement as he gets very much behind this Easter drive.

Some would say obsessed. We aren’t going to use those words but some would.

This year the project is slower than ever, and we understand why. The economy is - stuffed!

If you would like to make a donation into their account for any amount (a box is currently R70 on special) or you are able to drop a box for the “Rotties” we would love to show this practice some love since they are not only our second home, our sounding board and miracle workers but our friends too.
