FUN FACTS ABOUT CAT TEETH 🐱
Human teeth and cat teeth are similar
While being very different creatures, humans and cats actually have similarities when it comes to teeth, we are both diphyodont animals. Diphyodont means that we have two successive sets of teeth. When we are babies we have our initial deciduous (baby) set of teeth grow in then as we age that set falls out and our new permanent adult teeth emerge.

One thing that is different however is how quickly this process happens. While cats are also born without teeth, it only takes them until they are around 3 months old for their permanent teeth to begin to erupt. They also have more baby teeth than humans at 26 while we only have 20 baby teeth and cats only have 30 adult teeth while humans have more at 32.

Last week, a warm-hearted resident found this little birdy, who was caught by a cat, and brought it straight to us for examination and care. After being treated and fed by DR. CUNNINGHAM this beauty was collected by CROW - Centre for Rehabilitation of Wildlife where they will continue to do their good work. We are able to help these wild animals because of the kind donations made by the public and we are so grateful. We are a Private Veterinary Hospital, under the guidance of Dr Craig Mostert since 2002.

‘Village’ as we call ourselves, is a warm and friendly place. Our goal is to do our best to keep our patients as healthy and happy as possible so that they can live their best lives for as long as possible with the families that love them.

Yes, we have all the bells and whistles, a full surgery suite, digital X-Ray, ultra sound machine, laboratory and all the other equipment that we have invested heavily in. We practice an extremely high standard of medicine. Our team of qualified veterinary surgeons and nurses have the expertise to provide excellent patient care for your pet.

Above all that we are passionate about who we are and the medicine we practice. We love what we do! We are all pet owners ourselves so we know how much your pet means to you and our goal is to help you to help them thrive. We will partner with you and walk the journey of their lives alongside you.
