What is so special about clownfish?

All anemonefish, including clownfish, are hermaphrodites. They are all born male, according to National Geographic. They have the ability to turn themselves female, but once the change is made, they can't go back to being male. Sometimes the change is made when mating.

They can swim approximately six kilometers per hour.

Clownfish live an average of 3-5 years in captivity and 6-10 years in the wild, though some can live even longer if they are well taken care of (up to 30 years depending on species).

Hachetfish

The common hatchetfish or river hatchetfish (Gasteropelecus sternicla) is a tropical fish belonging to the freshwater hatchetfish family (Gasteropelecidae). Originating in South America in the Peruvian and middle Amazon, the Guianas and Venezuela, it grows to about 2.5 inches (6.5 cm). The fish gets its name from its relatively large protruding belly which resembles a hatchet. Hatchetfish will often jump out of the water when alarmed, propelled by their large, winglike pectoral fins. They also jump to catch small aerial insects.

Fun facts about oscar fish

Believe it or not Oscar Fish play dead. Oscar Fish has a unique personality and when they don’t like any change in their tank or any change in the surrounding they sulk. They can even redesign their tank according to their liking.

Oscar Fish can recognize its owner. Because of their behavior, they are also named as river dog or water dog.

It can even grow up to 38cm if you take good care of it. Besides, Oscar Fish produces a lot of waste. That’s why you need a large tank for your Oscar fish. Ideally, for a single Oscar Fish, you will require a 200 - 250liter tank.

Oscar Fish have teeth but they are not very sharp. And Oscar Fish bite doesn’t harm you besides a simple scraping.

Actually, Oscar Fish has two sets of teeth one in the back of their mouth, and the second set is located in their throat.

How do shrimps breed?? Shrimps Carry Their Eggs
The female will release sexual hormones into the water when she is ready to breed. The male will then find her and deposit his s***m onto the female, who passes the eggs underneath her tail. The eggs stay there, constantly being fanned by the shrimp's tail until they are ready to hatch.
