or puppies will only be re-homed if we are presented with the mother’s sterlilisation certificate and we have space available to do so. There are only so many homes available and therefor can not take in the public’s unwanted animals and their unplanned litters. Strays as well as your personal animals must be taken to your local S.P.C.A. Your animals are your responsibility. We understand that having pets sterilised is expensive, but it is part of being a responsible pet owner. HOW CAN YOU HELP:
Please open your homes and hearts to a rescued pet, and make adoption the only option! We also welcome the public to foster a homeless pet. We selling anything from A-Z to help raise much needed funds. Please donate good quality pre-love clothes, furniture, appliances, bedding, curtains etc. that we can sell online or at auction is most welcome! We are always in need of pet food, bedding and toys. Felix is today’s golden oldie! He is around 6-7 years old, and looks like he could be a Belgian Malinois x. You are invited to our FREE 1,5km Family Fun Rescue Dog Walk on Saturday 16 November 2024 (Gates open at 10am sharp) • Departures available between 10:15 and 11:45 • Get your family to take a rescued dog for a walk and show them some love and attention for the morning • Loads of pit stops along the way will provide you with many fun activities and refreshments (only available until 12:00). Let's try again... introducing long-time resident Rufus, the do**us! You might be wondering why this cutey is still at the shelter… well don’t be fooled by his fluffy facade… he is a ferocious little a**hole! Rufus despises anything that moves or even looks at him wrong. When it comes to other dogs, Rufus is what they call a k@kmaker. I mean he isn’t called Rufus the do**us for no reason. We recommend that he is an “only child”, because he does not play well with others. If you are a little old lady or a loving calm person - then he will shower you with love and be the cutest little lap dog, BUT if you are a dog he gets short man syndrome on steroids and he will attack you, latch onto your neck and never let go. To sum it up Rufus is the “fun police” for cats and dogs, but he is very cute and will make a loving and faithful companion. Despite his last post being shared 440 times Rufus is still waiting.... Surely there must be a happy home for this old boy to retire in? Well done team! Our kennel staff Phineas and Elvis found a jackal caught in a snare on the property boarding the sanctuary. They alerted our vets JP and Michelle who quickly set to work to free her.
