Two birds, one checkup and grooming session – can you guess their names?

Here’s a hint: they’re named after two famous characters - a dumb but lovable pair from a classic comedy movie.

The Importance of De🐛ing Your Pets!

Regular deworming is essential for keeping your pets healthy and happy. Parasites like worms can cause serious health issues, including weight loss, vomiting, diarrhea, and even organ damage. Deworming protects not only your pets but also your family, as some parasites can be transmitted to humans.

How often should you deworm your pets?
• Puppies and kittens: Every 2 weeks until 12 weeks old, then monthly until 6 months old.
• Adult dogs and cats: Every 3 to 6 months, depending on their lifestyle and risk of exposure.

Consult with our team to choose the best deworming schedule and treatment for your pets. A healthy pet is a happy pet!

We have been serving the community since 1997. We are passionate about animals and always willing to help where we can.

We know having a furry companion is about friendship, companionship, loyalty and unconditional love. It’s about putting another creature’s needs before your own and opening your heart. It’s about communicating without words, but with a pat on the head, a scratch behind the ear, or a wag of the tail. Nobody understands the special bond you share with your pet better than our team. We know first hand the joys and the sorrows that come along with caring for a pet. That’s why we strive to provide such a high level of service to our clients and patients.

If you’re new to the Lowveld, recently welcomed a new four-legged member to your family or searching for an experienced veterinarian who will provide you and your loved one with the respect and compassion you both deserve, we invite you to Van Wijk Street Vet.
