This award gets me emotional every year at Midfeeds Betty Burgess Annual Trophy Show

Mike Kay Memorial Trophy was put together in honour of man who coached a few of us oldies now and was a vital start to Mataffin Equestrian Centre many years ago.

Mike wanted to have a trophy that went to the rider who gave it their all in the arena. That tired their best in each class. Showed good sportsmanship, that cheered for the winners and showed the best qualities of being a rider in our sport. Each year we watch and see the riders interact through the hectic 5 day show.

This is the first show we have met you Ashleigh Fischer! But you stood out with your positive attitude and your high fives and it was obvious who Mike would have awarded this trophy to.

Congratulations and thank you for spreading your love in the arena this weekend at our show. 🐴🎉👌😍

All the riders went for gold in their jump offs 🥇 for the Fastest Jump Off for the day... There were some that had close calls.. some got the time but knocked the poles... 🥁 🥁 🥁
