Breaking News!

After years of dreaming and planning, Dillars Robbie from Scotland will soon be joining Piber Stud in South Africa!

The journey began back in 2023 when we had the pleasure of visiting Bob and his wonderful wife at Dillars Clydesdale Stud in Scotland. From the moment we stepped into their home, we knew there was no better place to source our first stallion. Two years of planning have led to this exciting moment, and we are thrilled to announce that Dillars Robbie will be arriving in South Africa in just a few weeks!

This magnificent stallion comes with an impressive track record, including the 1st Place Yearling C**t at the World Clydesdale Show 2022. He has earned numerous awards and accolades, and we are certain he will bring fresh blood and extraordinary genetics to our herd.

South Africa's Clydesdales have been in dire need of new genetics, and it has been several years since the last Clydesdale stallions were imported. Dillars Robbie's arrival is a game-changer for the breed here, and we are confident that he will help take South African Clydesdales to new heights.

We can't wait to see the impact he will make and are beyond excited for his arrival. This is a huge step forward for the Clydesdale community in South Africa!

Piber Stud proudest moment ever happened at this year's Horse of the year with our beautiful Clydesdale Stallion Eric.

Timewarp Eric - Clydesdale Stallion
1- Won Clydesdale Stallion over 4 years🥇
2- Won Supreme Champion Clydesdale Stallion 🥇
3- Won Clydesdale Novice Rider/Horse 🥇
4- Won Best Turn out Clydesdale 🥇 done by Jano Botha-Pretorius

Then our proudest moment happened Sunday when he got 8th place in the Supreme Champion Breed horse out of all the breed horses stallions and mares combined at the show.🏆🏵🎖

It is great to show of this beautiful Gentle Giants and Eric is a good example of that.
Will have this great feeling for a long time.

At Horse of the year 2025 our lovely Clydesdale Mare won for a second year in a row Supreme Clydesdale mare. We are so proud of her.🩷

Piber Waterford Quake - Clydesdale Mare
1- Won Mare over 4 years🥇
2- Won Supreme mare Clydesdale🥇
3- Placed in the turn out class for Clydesdales.

She is just one of the best mares and we can't wait for her foal in a few months.

Our homebred Clydesdale Filly did great this past weekend at Horse of the Year 2025.

Piber Mckenna won Champion Clydesdale female youngstock under 2 years. 🥇🏵

She did so great for her first show and expect big things from her.

The past weekend was the annual Horse of the Year.
It was a huge success for Piber Stud and in the next few posts i will share what happened.

First is our lovely old lady who came out of retirement for one more show.
