Our Chinese Water Dragonsā New Grow Out Enclosure!
We are thrilled to share an exciting update about our two Chinese Water Dragons as they settle into their brand-new grow-out enclosure! These incredible reptiles are native to the rainforests of China and Southeast Asia, and weāve gone the extra mile to recreate a habitat that truly reflects their natural environment.
A Water Feature for Their Comfort
Chinese Water Dragons are unique creatures with specific needs, especially when it comes to water. Unlike many reptiles that are content with standing water, our Water Dragons prefer flowing water to feel secure and thrive. To cater to this, weāve installed a beautiful waterfall in their enclosure. The constant movement of water mimics the streams and rivers they would encounter in the wild, helping to keep them hydrated and happy.
A Misting System for a Rainforest Experience
To further replicate the humid conditions of their natural habitat, weāve added a misting system. This setup not only maintains the necessary humidity levels but also gives them that refreshing rainforest experience they love. Itās a sight to behold when the mist rolls in, creating a lush, tropical environment that our dragons can bask in.
A Safe and Spacious Environment
The new grow-out enclosure offers ample space for our dragons to explore, climb, and bask under the UVB lighting, which is crucial for their health and well-being. The natural branches, rocks, and plants provide enrichment and encourage natural behaviors, making this new setup a perfect home as they continue to grow.
We are incredibly excited to watch our Chinese Water Dragons thrive in this new space, and weāll be sure to keep you updated on their progress!
Check these guys out... American Alligators
"alligator missisippiensis" anyone wana go for a dip?
So we did a little revamp on our Bearded Dragon enclosure.. What do you guys think?
Itās a wooden box enclosure, so first we made the inside waterproof.. we then added some key pieces like the wood, and the light fittings. Then we added some sprayfoam, got to carving, and then applied some grouting, then some more grouting, oh and then a little more grouting. Then after one last bit of grout, added some reptile sand, a Haworthia Fasciata here and there..
Lastly we let it air out for a few days with a fan blowing out to ensure no funny fumes stay behind.
Once we were happy it was fume free, we added the 50w Daylight basking lamp, and the 10.0 UVB, for those that donāt know, UVB light helps bearded dragons create and regulate their own vitamin D3 levels, which is essential for calcium metabolism.
Then because weād rather be safe than sorry, we ran the enclosure empty for a few more days just to make sure everything was running correctly, temps are optimal, and that all was going to be perfect for its new tenant.
We then popped in some water, and a few of Dracoās favourite feeder bugs, and as you can see Draco is quite happy and enjoying his new home.

Revived an existing terrarium..
Added some live moss, beefed up the soil, added some Begonia Dregei Glasgow, a nice bright Croton, a tiny bit of mentha, revived some Pellonia, and it doesnāt look too bad..
