Our Story
My journey with the petcare industry started 9 years ago (2011) when I started working as a vet receptionist and went from strength to strength when completing my diploma in animal behaviour through COAPE in 2015. Through the years I have completed many courses in puppy training and the more time I spend with dogs, my passion grows. Owning/ running a doggy daycare has been a dream of mine for many years and I am thrilled that that this dream is a reality. I am also acreditted through the IMDT.
Doggy Daycare:
We understand that your dog/s are a vital part of your family and so our team is passionate about dogs and are there to cater for their every need.
Due to today’s demanding lifestyles it’s not always possible to stimulate your dog and exercise them sufficiently and it is not safe anymore to run your dog off lead in the local park. Furry Kidz aims to give your dog a safe place to interact and play with other social dogs in a controlled environment.
Our furry guests are under constant supervision, making sure that the social interaction they are partaking in, is appropriate and that they don’t pick up bad habits. You no longer have to feel guilty that your beloved dog is left for long periods without supervision, as Furry Kidz Doggy Daycare is a safe place for social dogs to interact, play and receive the emotional stimulation and exercise they need to be calm, happy and an enjoyable part of your family.
We operate Monday to Friday from 6:00am to 6:00pm.
We work on a monthly contract that is paid up front.
Boarding:
A holiday destination for your pup with all the care and love they deserve while you enjoy a carefree holiday. Your pup will enjoy playing all day long with other friendly well socialised dogs during the day, in our daycare and sleep soundly at night in their own designated, temperature controlled cabin , listening to classical music. We preempt their every need so that they want for nothing. Smothered in love and pampering. We love each dog as if they were our own.
Puppy Training:
It is SO important to choose the correct school for you and your puppy, with this in mind I thought it would be a good idea to introduce myself and my school…
I am committed to seeing the bond between pups and their owners flourish through mutual understanding and help owners understand the needs and behaviours of their dogs. By working through modern, positive training methods, I hope to build that important partnership between puppy and owner and for the puppy to become a well-balanced adult dog.
I completed courses in early, intermediate and advanced Canine Development (hosted by Quixi Sonntag) and qualified as a Hills Puppy School instructor in 2012. In 2015 I gained my diploma in Practical Aspects of Companion Animal Behaviour through COAPE. I have also completed the Confi puppy instructor course offered by Thinking Pets.
I have run puppy 1 & 2 classes since 2011 and own and instruct at my own puppy school, Furry Kidz Puppy School. I would love to work with you and your puppy and ensure that with the time you spend training your puppy, you achieve the maximum results.
