Troy: A rescue Horse. Had issues with rider on back. With consistent training and desensitizing from the handler and the owner, he became a lovely, calm horse.

Malaika: Preparing her to be ridden. She is reacting very well, with no bucking, etc. She is just very stiff and unsure of what she has to do.

24/03/2023

Malaika: Doing well with most of the training, going into the backup tool, and going onto the filled tyre, but bucking and breaking out of the ring when the saddle is put on her back.

Malaika: Out in Africa Encounters's Volunteer Lily is getting taught the ropes on how to train a young and unwilling horse

Malaika: She is starting to recognize what the handler wants from her.

22/03/2023

Malaika: Continuing with desensitizing. She is a young horse that does not know yet what is expected of her. She is very unwilling to walk with her handler and she wants to escape when there is some pressure.

Our generation is becoming so busy trying to prove that women can do what men can do, that women are losing their uniqueness.

Women weren't created to do everything a man can do....

Women were created to do everything a man can't do.

~Unknown

The lioness does not try to be the lion.

She embraces her role as the lioness.

She is powerful, strong, and nurturing.

She does not mistake her meekness for weakness.

The world needs more kind, compassionate, humble, faithful, persevering, confident, fierce, bold, pure, and tender-hearted women.

Be one of them. ❤❤

Nikita: Doing some needed groundwork

11/12/2022

Nikita: She has some respect issues

Geronimo:- After working with Geronimo a couple of times he still has some issues with the desensitizing tools. We just have to keep at it until he understands what we want. It is very important to have a sound horse that will not get a fright of a Francolin flying up, or a warthog/rabbit jumping out at his feet.

07/12/2022

Geronimo:- He is terrified of the desensitizing tools. But he has to learn to accept this, because what will happen if you drink water, or ride next to a bush, that touches him.......of you go! He will learn to accept all tools and then establish trust between himself and the horse rider.

02/12/2022

Geronimo: - Still not very comfortable with training and definitely not comfortable with rider on his back. He is willing though.
