AYA ….. one of a kind ❤️
Meet our miracle filly - SAC AIYANA (EKS Farajj | Bey Velvet | Ajman Moniscione)
Words cannot even begin to describe how precious this filly is! Aiyana has been through the toughest time since birth, due to foaling complications both filly and mare had to be taken to intensive care. Aiyana had multiple surgeries performed at only a few days old, we were told that her chance of survival was very low considering how extensive the infection in her leg had become. All breeders that have been through something similar will understand how terrible it is hearing such bad news, each day during this time seemed like forever. All you want to hear is news of improvement, we had to take it day by day not knowing if Aiyana would make it through…I went to visit her while she was in a questionable state and all I could see was her eagerness to live. While fighting such a bad infection and going through all that trauma this filly was full of life.
Those of you that have experienced a similar situation know that the decision to continue treatment or call it a day rests upon your shoulders - the medical team who treated Aiyana supported us when choosing to continue the treatment and not give up hope. After weeks of intense ongoing treatment signs of success started to unfold…Nothing can explain this feeling!
Taking it one day at a time it was one of the most stressful situations we have gone through and to see Aiyana go through all those trials and tribulations and overcome adversity is a huge success and something so very special to all of us at Skyroo.
*AIYANA - African/Arabic name meaning: Beautiful flower, intelligent, perceptive, moving/walking.
This filly is all of the above and more. We didn’t know if she would begin to walk at a stage, now she is a bundle of energy showing off her beauty to the world. A nickname we use is AYA, which means miracle…and that’s exactly what she is.
