Boulevard will make a fabulous addition., both conformationally and with her pedigree to any stud. She is exceptionally easy, has been handled since birth and dotes on attention. No funny business with her. Goes easily in the crush for routine work and loads like a charm.
Never had an off day and certainly not the average, moody mare! She’s like a dog, follows one around just for that scratch or affection.
She offers 3 beautiful paces, is very correct, she has been used solely as a broodmare and therefore is not backed as yet. Her ground work is firmly in place.
Her 2024 filly foal sells with her. Lulus Star of Broadway is well handled bay characteristic filly with a strong possibility of roaning out in time. She, as her mum, offers an outstanding nature and a once off pedigree making her totally exclusive to a stud that purchases her. She should mature at around 15.1hh.
“Boulevard” sells possibly in foal to the magnificent, Lulus Wap’s Avant Garde, a bay dun leopard, which will be his first crop of foals. “Avant Garde” offers a fantastic performance and unique pedigree with both his parents being show winners.
“Boulevard” is certainly a mare that one doesn’t let go easily, but due to various factors, the owner is forced to part with her.

2024 SP Bay Characteristic Filly

To Mature at 15.2hh, possibly more.
Lulus Star of Broadway, is now available to a home that will make the most of her, as a whole, both under saddle and as a breeding prospect.
For the rider, this flashy filly has everything in the correct place. Strong, powerful quarters, beautiful, floating movement and correct limbs. She is eager to please, loves interacting with her humans and will waltz over to be first in line for scratches. Literally, nothing phases her in the least. Highly intelligent and very eager to please. She should make a superb and bold all rounder prospect with the correct tuition.
For the breeder, although lacking the colour for an appaloosa, she will make a great asset with her conformation and exclusive pedigree within a breeding program. This breeding can never be re-produced again and offers an amazing opportunity to add diversity of some older lines which have been lost over time. “Brody” does have white sclera, which leads us to believe that she may roan in time with or without spots, but it’s too early to tell.
Brody will be weaned at 6 month old – July 2024 – therefore a payment plan can be discussed until weaning. She will be registered with AHBSSA (Appaloosa Horse Breeders Society of South Africa), parentage verified, microchipped and have a valid SAEF passport on departure.
The option to keep her at the stud until of ridden age is available for a fee.

Lulus Ziggy Stardust, is now available to a home that will make the most of him, as a whole, both under saddle and as a breeding prospect.
For the rider, even at this tender age, he shows great enthusiasm during daily handling from the stable, to the paddock and back again. He is unphased by having to accomplish new obstacles in his life, such as picking up his hooves, moving past droning tractors and daily feed deliveries by his groom. He is highly independent in the paddock during play and will leave his dam for ages, whilst exploring his surroundings. Besides this, his movement offers that uphill elastisy that is so sort after in both showing and dressage. Being bold may see him in the jumping/eventing arenas too.
With the correct tuition and in time, the sky is the limit with this boy as fantastic all rounder.
For the breeder, his unique and exclusive pedigree, which can never be re-created again, offers breeders the opportunity to add a diversity of proven bloodlines in one horse! With this in mind, “Ziggy” is a snowcap, he is, therefore, homozygous for the LP (leopard complex) gene and will produce Appaloosa characteristics (white sclera, striped hooves, mottled/partly coloured skin, coat pattern [in varying degrees]) on his foals.
Background of the LP Gene regarding colour producing : For those that are not clued up, being homozygous for the LP gene does not necessarily mean that a coat pattern will be present but at least one or more of the Appaloosa characteristics will be present at birth. The LP gene works in mysterious ways and we are lucky enough to also have the LP gene which roans quite a bit, so your foal that may look solid, will in all likelihood roan with or without spots – this is to say should you get a foal with no distinct coat pattern at birth.

After just over 10 years, we welcome back, Les Chevaux Elodie
Dam of one of our best foals, Lulus Tiger's Sunstone which was exported to Namibia with her first foal, Lulus Wap's La Belle.
We thank Celeste Barnard for entrusting us with this beautiful mare.
"Elodie" has been covered by Lulus Wap's Avant Garde, scans will commence in April to start confirming pregnancies of the mares.

Lulus Wap’s Avant Garde

We have had so many enquiries about coverings from this amazing young lad, but we just do not seem to find the time to wash him up, plait and take some decent pictures and videos. This morning, we made some time to take a few casual snaps of him without a wash, plaits or fancy halter.
I believe the quality is clearly evident through the dust, dirt and grime.

Sired by the Multiple Champion & 2019 SA Appaloosa of the Year, Caprica Waptastic Picasso (Totem Fantastic Wap [Imp. Belg] x Otters Creek Penny Lane)
Out of 2005 ApHC Year End Top Ten Finalist 2 Year Old Fillies, Sheza TT Wap Spot Jr [Imp Belg.] (TT Might Junior [EUR] x Waps Ballet Slippers [USA])
Height: Currently standing at 15.2hh. To mature at around 16hh++
Colour: Bay Dun Leopard (Heterzygous Dun, tested via Animal Genetics USA).
Besides a phenomenal pedigree, this c**t offers it all in terms of conformation, movement, trainability and temperament. A sporty look in the body of a pure Appaloosa, super length of rein, correct limbs, powerful hindquarters and elastic movement. His temperament matches his beauty, super inquisitive and always eager to please. He is willing to take on any task, no matter our scary. Adores being faffed over and will make sure he is first in line for the scratches.
We expect “Avo” to excel in all disciplines when of ridden age, for now, all the ground work and basics have set a good foundation for his ridden career.
Whilst the quality of this c**t is clearly evident in the photos, this is all thanks to good genetics.
Both sides of his pedigree offer champions in both the English and Western spheres, affording “Avo” a diversity of bloodlines that have proven themselves, time and time again. This can also been seen with the small handful of maternal half siblings that his dam has produced which have been shown and have made quite an impact already. Jenzo Waps Lasst Diplomat, a maternal half sibling has been in the placings at every show he has entered, Caprica Peru’s Livingstone, another maternal half sibling was awarded 2022 Appaloosa Nationals Reserve Champion of Champions Appaloosa Sport Horse amongst various other accolades to date.
His paternal half siblings have been mostly exported, along with their sire, “Picasso” but not prior to Picasso setting the standards high within our SA Appaloosa world. Following up to his highest earned achievement, 2019 SA Appaloosa of the Year award, he also trotted off with the following amongst many others: 2020 HOY – Champion Junior Appaloosa c**t, 2019 Appaloosa Championships – Supreme Grand Champion Male, Over-all Reserve Champion Appaloosa, 2019 HOY – Reserve Junior Champion Appaloosa C**t, “Picasso” was exported to Tanzania, prior to the commencement of his ridden career.
“Avo’s” maternal grandsire, TT Mighty Junior, has an extensive, well achieved show record, too many too list, view the link : TT Mighty Junior (tolmanservices.eu), TT Mighty Junior’s sire, TT Mighty Tango, a 5x European Champion was also proven in the show ring, again, amongst many other accolades.
