Borcherds Paws is a unique rescue organization operating in an informal settlement in George. They care for over 600 dogs, almost 200 cats, and even a few horses. Rather than placing these animals in shelters, they ensure the animals receive proper care in their own homes.

Marileen and her dedicated team focus on education, teaching the residents of the settlement how to properly care for their beloved pets. They provide immediate medical attention whenever needed and, most importantly, ensure that all animals are sterilized. In my opinion, this is exactly how all rescue organizations should operate.

The PDSA (People’s Dispensary for Sick Animals) charges only R450 per animal for sterilization. We are seeking sponsorships for these procedures. In return, your business will gain significant exposure.

(TVT) Transmissible venereal tumor is a cancerous tumor that affects dogs and is spread through sexual contact. TVTs are cauliflower-like growths that can appear on the genitalia, mouth, nose, or eyes.
For the next six weeks, once a week they will receive medical care and hopefully soon they will be cured from the TVT.

During the month of December the Whispering with Dogs Donation Angels where able to raise R7500 for a half a TON! of Dog Food towards the Borcherds Paws 🐾 initiative and we where able to raise another R1800 for Sterilisations.
