My Champion Smooth hair girl Merlot gave birth to 3 beautiful babies late last night. 2 boys and 1 girl. We will be keeping out of this litter for next generation in the show ring. Mom and babies are doing well ❤️

GUARDIAN HOMES!!!

What is Guardian homes and why it might interest you in becoming one.

As a guardian home, you are the permanent home for one of our Stud males, while they are in our breeding program. Once they have retired they can be neutered and they are kept by the guardian family for the rest of their life.

Becoming a Guardian Home gives you the opportunity to have one of our puppies or young adult males as a family companion while he remains in our program at NO upfront cost to you!

By offering the guardian program, we are able to ensure that our dogs get to live the best possible lives in a loving, caring homes where they receive as much one on one attention as possible.

What expenses are guardian families responsible for?
Guardians are responsible for all “regular” dog care including providing food, treats, toys, etc. They are also responsible for normal vet care that is not breeding related. The male must be kept up to date on all vaccines, deworming, and tick & flea treatments at the guardian’s expense. Guardians are also required to pay for grooming unless they opt to do it themselves.

What are the requirements to becoming a Guardian home:
* You must be willing and able to socialise the male with other dogs and people.
* You must be able to have the male available for stud work within 24h notice.
* You must contact the breeder in the event of any illness or accident.
* You must be able to communicate, cooperate and coordinate with the breeder.
* You must have a fenced yard and adequate shelter for the dog.

Venus de Milo decided she would join the party and have her puppies two days early. She had to have a c section this afternoon as she had a puppy stuck in her birth canal. She blessed us with 3 babies. 2 girls and 1 boy. Mom and babies are doing well.

Pending KUSA’s approval Megan’s beautiful little princess Fayfay (Brandcliff Grace and Faith) accumulated enough points at the last show that now she has qualified as a KUSA Breed Champion. So proud of all the work Megs has put into this little girl.
