Our beginning
Welcome to my page. My name is Neil Davidson and I have lived in Mtunzini for the past 34 years. I was born and raised in Durban. I come from a close family who have always been very nature orientated. My late father, Ronnie Davidson, was a well known taxidermist for the Durban Museum for most of his life and taught me and my two brothers the art and love of taxidermy from a very young age. My parents were both very skilled and passionate in what they did. I then started my own business in 1970 in Durban and soon thereafter moved up the coast to Mtunzini, where I settled down and raised a family.
I started commercial fishing off of Tongaat, KwaZulu Natal, in 1975. I am lucky to be one of the few fisherman to still have a commercial fishing license on the north coast which i have had since 1977. My dad bought my first boat for me in 1970 and was the start of a life long fishing adventure. I currently operate out of Richards Bay Harbour due to the ban on our historic launch site in Mtunzini. Fish and fishing has been a passion of mine my whole life and i have been blessed to have been able to make an honest living from what i enjoy.
