Next up the 2025 Nationals of the Arab Horse Society of South Africa. The horses are enjoying a well deserved break, after which we will go back to the drawing board.

The long journey from Parys to Paarl is complete and the horses are settled back in at home. Thank you to everyone at the Arab Horse Society of South Africa for organising such a wonderful Summer Show.

For now, here's a look at one of our show highlights, with Carina Troost stealing the show on RLG Priceless Promise (Baywatch V x Priscilla V) in the Senior Country Championship. Simeon Sach (Asfour x Simeon Seda) with Carina's brother André Troost in the saddle joined her in the victory lap in Reserve Champion position - a class that Sach has been dominating for many years, until being dethroned on Friday! A special moment for the Troost and Sadam family.

We're back home after a wonderful South African Arabian Nationals show of the Arab Horse Society of South Africa. Thank you Zadia Mostert Schutte and team for putting together such a spectacle. What a week it was, with friends and family sharing in the love for the Arabian horse. We were blessed with good training leading up to the show and were very pleased with the performance of our horses.

Aryana Azaar, the new kid on the block, had his first show and won the Junior Costume Horse championship and Reserve Champion Junior Country Pleasure Horse. Thank you to Hannes and Leanne Venter for entrusting us with this one of a kind horse!

RLG Priceless Promise, Azaar's mother, has shown remarkable progress over the past few months and rode in for 4th in the Top 5 in Senior Country. We're every excited to see how Promise grows stronger and matures in the coming months and years!

Sadam da Vinci, bred out of the grande dam of our stud, MH Zenobia, and Priam, rode a beautiful Novice class and was awarded the championship title. We're very excited for his Hunter Pleasure career!

The cool and steady Sadam Simply Ahsom, aka "Ahsompie," who last year graduated into the Open Riding Horse, put up a stunning display and won the Open Riding Horse Championship. Thank you to Blue Steel Equestrian for your sponsorship of a R1000 voucher to Ahsompie and rider Stephen. Ahsompie also rode into 5th position in the Top 5 Senior Hunter Pleasure Horse championship.

And then to the "oud maar nog nie koud" guys. Our noble steed, Sadam Achilles, now 21 years old, had one of his best rounds in the Open Riding Horse in many years, being awarded the Reserve National Champion Title.

And finally to the sire of our stud, Simeon Sach. Truely a once in a lifetime horse, Sach rode an elegant round in the Senior Country Pleasure, winning the Championship. In the Senior Costume Horse, the last class of the show, he also won the championship title.

Happy 2024! As we start our training for Nationals 2024, here's a rewind to our last show of 2023; the Northern Cape Championships held in Upington and hosted by the Northern Cape Arabian Horse Club.
