Crossroads is a home away from home for the happy wanderer, conveniently nestled just off the R103 between Michaelhouse School and Nottingham Road. If you’re looking for a pet-friendly place to stay while on your travels, we'd love to welcome you to our cozy getaway right in the heart of the Midlands.
Our goal is for a healthy balance between sustainable eco-friendly living and those comforts that turn a house into a home. We harvest rain water and grow our own small-scale organic seasonal fruit and veggies. We’re developing a series of green projects to make a more positive impact on the environment. As we grow we'd like to invest in beehives, owl boxes, bat hotels and our long-term plan is to achieve solar power, living roofs and our own bore hole.
That said, everyone deserves a little pampering sometimes, so we've made sure every room has extra blankets and gas heaters for those chilly nights, a spacious hot shower, and a soft bed to sink into. We also offer optional Wifi and optional breakfast/dinner made just for you by our qualified in-house chef and part-owner, Neil. We try to be as self-sufficient and down to earth as we can without sacrificing practicality and those little indulgences that make your stay worthwhile.
Above all we believe in nourishing that wonderful childlike perspective that everything is an adventure. We've found this has been the best approach in our lives together; it leads us to explore more and appreciate more, and the excitement of going on an adventure - whether it is globetrotting or trying something new on the menu - tends to be infectious.
