Value your age and do wonders.

What are you doing or will be doing at 79 years of age? How are you at 79 or how will you be when you get to 79 years old? I took my Agriprenuers to meet the Legendary Mr. Ntshangase Biyela. Mr. Biyela is 79 years old, strong, healthy as feeble and very sound. A calm human being, a great listener and very accommodative.
He is a disciple of Organic farming and grows a variety of vegetables, crops and fruit trees. On our arrival we found him transplanting onion seedlings from his nursery and our Agriprenuers got some tips on how best to grow onions. We spent 3 hours and Boy oh Boy his pool of knowledge on farming is unmatched. He encouraged the young people to take life serious and establish themselves as a force in modern farming industry but also be loyal to Organic farming and feed the masses healthy food. He narrated about his journey in farming both Low's and high's for them to know that life is a bumpy road and giving up ain't an option.
We left there fully energized, inspired and full after sipping from his well of knowledge. My Agriprenuers were in awe and ashamed of themselves since they got some deep introspection lecture from a 79 year old.

Young people smell the coffee!

Earthworm farming/vermiculture.

Earthworms are the most loyal servants of the soil. They toil the soil day and night to eat all the organic matter and give back a soil structure that is the foundation of a fertile soil. Organic wastes are recycled into nutrients 'castings' that are rich in Macro nutrients.
Don't be consumed by lies of industrial farming and poison the soil with chemicals, pesticides and fertilizers when the earthworm will give you castings to improve your soil fertility and earthworm tea/juice which is a natural pesticide!
In Agroecology we give alternatives that are eco friendly and cost Less or zero costs.

Pray and Find the earthworm spirit this Easter and save the Precious Soil for future generations.

Don't be a Spectator in life! Do something to address the challenges facing the community.
Naturally grown fruits are a challenge to find in most of our grocery stores and chain stores yet those chemically and poisoned fruits are very expensive. I thought the poison should have been cheaper since no one wants to die but alas NO! We have accepted it and it's a norm now.
Salute to all giving us an alternative food and fruit choices for us to save and sustain our precious health.

Grow something Organically.

If you want to venture into farming, please don't listen to the every Urban legend disguised as an expert! You will eventually burn your fingers. Make it a point to:
Visit a failed farmer and get to hear their story
Visited an upcoming farmer and gather as much information as you can
Visit a well run business enterprise or commercial farm and harvest as much knowledge as you can
Book yourself a course and attend to learn in your field of interest
Do your own market research and network more
Lastly implement your plan by starting small and expand gradually but have someone to walk you through the journey.
