Health check and vaccination clinics in the community’s will commence as we prepare for our first of 2025!

Outreach health clinics for community dogs are essential for disease prevention, population management, and improving animal welfare. They provide vaccinations, parasite control, and spay/neuter services, reducing the spread of diseases and controlling stray populations humanely. These clinics also enhance accessibility to veterinary care in underserved areas and promote responsible pet ownership through education. By addressing health issues, they improve dogs’ quality of life and create safer, healthier communities. Partnering with local welfare organizations, outreach clinics strengthen support systems for sustainable animal care.

TVT (Transmissible Venereal Tumor) is a type of contagious cancer in dogs. It primarily spreads through direct contact, typically during mating, but it can also be transmitted through licking, sniffing, or close contact with affected areas.

Chemotherapy treatments using Vincristine is the most effective and commonly used drug
and as Scorpion is high up on the severity scale he has received several treatments so far .
The prognosis is generally good With proper treatment and most cases lead to full recovery’s .

But prevention is 🔑
Spaying/neutering will reduce roaming and mating behaviors which in turn will reduce the numbers of cancer cases in the community’s we work alongside .

This beautiful girl and her puppies were recently found in a difficult situation in a neighbouring area .

Originally she was used for herding cattle around the area and sadly left behind as a result of giving birth to puppies who we believe are a border collie/ Australian cattle mix .

Luckily she was found and is now safe and temporarily being cared for along with her litter at CARE: Centre for Animal Rehabilitation and Education.

Please SHARE far and wide as we would love to be able to help rehome this little family.

Apply which include spay / neuter costs , deworming and tick/flea treatments and first vaccinations protecting against parvovirus , distemper & rabies .

Muzzles!

Something that are very handy in our line of work.

Lots of the community dogs are not use to being handled too much, let alone receiving injections and treatments from strangers. So a muzzle helps us do our work in a much safer way when some of the doggo’s are a bit cranky.

With water games, scrumptious food and goody bags, a great time was had by all 150 children and 15 gogos

There were 3 bags but “something happened” to the 3rd already 😋🐾

Big success and fun had at the local market!

Spreading awareness , meeting new people and Suprise visits from our friends and supporters made the day worthwhile for sure!

We are still reeling from the generosity, love and support that we received on Tuesday for our campaign

A massive $1462 was donated which was then further increased by $370 from GlobalGiving making it a whopping total of $1832!!!

It is unbelievable just how much of an impact this amount of money will make to each of our projects.
