Born in Muizenburg, Cape Town. My father was an amateur photographer and I was always interested in watching him develop his photographs. I suppose it was natural that I would one day follow in his footsteps, capturing moments and memories using “film”.

HUNT REPORT: THE RONDEBERG FARM HOME HUNT - 25 AUGUST 2024 Hunt Manager Monique Uys hosted a fantastic Rondeberg home hunt on Sunday, 25 August 2024. 17 Hunters braved the cold and joined the fun , and there were no casualties😄 BEST HUNTING HOUND (Cooper Cup): Nucleur BEST WORKING HOUND (Cracker Cup): Pieman BEST NEW HOUND (Salkinder Cup): Pieman BEST OLDER HOUND (Warrior Cup): Lucifier BEST TURNED-OUT HORSE & RIDERS: Jana Olivier & Ella Botha Special thank you to: Titan Marketing & Mirtelize for the delicious snacks🍬 Wade O Connor for the special liquors, which were a very pleasant special addition to the hunt.🥂 André Theron for ensuring that the register and indemnities were signed📝. Cape Hunt Club - Est. 1822

The Cape Hunt follows a long tradition of riding to hounds in the Cape, going back over 195 years. The Club practises the equestrian sport of “drag-hunting” - whereby a rider (the Drag) lays down an artificial scent for the hounds & field (mounted riders) to follow over a predetermined route with jumps and obstacles along the way. The Cape Hunt holds the distinction of being the oldest of the ‘new world’ hunts dating back to 1822.

Hunt Season takes place from May to end September every year (winter time). We meet at various venues across the greater Cape Town & Winelands area every Sunday.
