Happy Holidays!
We all know Dr Pete loves his dogs (6 of them), but his cats know how to get his attention too!
Meet Rubylove Rat, rescued 3 years ago. She so loves her blankie on chilly rainy days.
Honey has been our resident cat for the past one and a half years.
She preferred her comforts that the ladies at Pathcare, Plettenberg Bay set up for her though! And at night she loved the company of the residents of the Medico Centre, Plettenberg Bay.
Now Honey needs to find a new home.
Clients at Marine Way Animal Hospital all know Honey's story from rags to riches. And at the time, many wanted to adopt her.
Please contact us on 044 533 3100 to enquire about her.
Dr Pete, Jolene & Sherylene will "interview" all applicants because she deserves the best.
Honey does not like other pets and will love a stay-at-home or work-from-home petparent.
All creatures great and small deserve their moment in the spotlight and today Vervet monkeys grabbed our attention on Monkey Day.
For monkeys, picking dirt and bugs off their fellow monkeys is a form of affection. We suppose that if their mate isn't keen on the affection, they can run away at a top speed of 45 km/h!

We are so very very happy to let you all know that the Boerboel rescued by PAWS and tended to by Dr Pete has found her forever home.
She remains at the animal hospital so we can tend to her wounds daily but she is a gem and will soon be going home.
Thank you to everyone who sent their love when we first posted about her story.
We are going to miss this amazing girl when she goes home.
In Africa, white rhino are known as ‘grazers’ because they prefer the lush savannah grasses and the black rhino are known as ‘browsers’ because they prefer the bushes and trees of the dense thickets.
