28 September is ! The theme for this year is “Breaking Boundaries”.

Remember, all mammals can get infected by rabies. The common signs of rabies are changes in behaviour and neurological symptoms, which may include the following:

✅ Excessive salivation
✅ Paralysis
✅ Inability to swallow
✅ Continuous vocalisation
✅ Convulsions
✅ Aggression
✅ Non-responsive behaviour

Report any suspected rabid animals immediately to your state or private veterinarian, an animal health technician or the police.

Are your dogs and cats up to date with their rabies vaccinations? Protect them and yourself!

VACCINE UPDATE:
As a practice we have decided to offer dog and cat vaccinations( without a consultation) at a reduced rate, in light of the current over the counter sale restriction and socioeconomic environment. The decision to provide vaccinations without a consultation is based on the knowledge that vaccinations help prevent life threatening diseases in pets. However, vaccinations with a full consultation remains the gold standard in early disease detection and prevention.
