Are you a licensed drivers, available from 08h00 on Tuesday or Friday from ~2 hours? Awesome, we need YOUR help!

A vehicle will be provided, all you need to do is arrive at 08h00 on Tuesday and Thursday to help deliver soup and bread to the following drop off points: Nemato, Station Hill and Bathurst.

The Port Alfred & Ndlambe District SPCA is facing a huge financial struggle and only have a couple of months’ running costs left. We therefore had to take drastic steps by means of reducing staff hours to half time, as well as adjusting opening hours. As from today, staff will work in shifts to ensure that the SPCA will stay open to take in strays and surrenders, attend to the sick and injured animals and for food sales. We will however continue to attend to complaints and emergencies ONLY.

Please note that we are NOT open to the public for adoptions, kennel visits or volunteers to help in the kennels. We must adhere to the Government’s regulations and keep you and our staff safe.

As from today our weekly opening hours will be as normal but we will be closed on Saturday. Sundays and Public holidays will be closed as per normal.
We would like to put out an urgent appeal to all our supporters to please assist our Society to keep our doors open so that we can still tend to the animals in our indigent community especially during these difficult and trying times. We need to be out working in the community to prevent the suffering of all animals and therefore need your support.
