Desensitize them - Before the fireworks, gradually expose your pet to the sound of fireworks at a low volume. You can also use treats and praise to create a positive association with the sound.

Take them for a walk - Before the fireworks, take your pet for a walk so they aren't too frightened to go outside when the fireworks start.

Use a leash or carrier - If you do go outside with your pet, use a leash or carrier to keep them from running away.

Keep them away from fire - Keep your pets away from matches, open fires, and fireworks. Pet hair can easily catch fire.

Microchip them - Make sure your pet has a microchip with up-to-date information in case they get lost.

Consult your vet - If your pet has a history of extreme reactions to fireworks or severe anxiety, consult your vet. They may recommend medications or other treatments to help.

Heat can stress a dog's gastrointestinal tract, which can lead to diarrhea or vomiting.

FAKE SNOW

Eating a lot of fake snow can cause a blockage in a pet's stomach, and can cause mild gastrointestinal upset, including vomiting, diarrhea, and hypersalivation.

If you think your pet has eaten a lot of fake snow or is showing signs of becoming unwell, you should contact your vet. Fake snow is usually made from polyacrylate or polyethylene, which are substances of low toxicity. However, repeatedly inhaling the aerosol could cause breathing problems.
