CATTLE DAY

We spent the day yesterday doing some cattle work, teaching mentees about Pregnancy Diagnosis and Dehorning as well as basic herd management.

Pregnancy diagnosis is done via a re**al examination in cattle where the reproductive organs and possible foetus are palpated.

Dehorning is performed using sedation and nerve blocks before the horn bud is either snipped off or (if larger) wired off and the remaining area cauterised to prevent regrowth.

The mentees worked hard gaining valuable experience.

Just a reminder not to allow your dogs to indulge in any chocolate.

Chocolate is TOXIC for dogs and can make them incredibly ill.

Should your dog ingest chocolate, please contact your vet immediately!

Please note that due to multiple product and fuel increases over the last 6 months, we have had to implement a price increase.

We endeavour to keep preventative care as low as possible. We strongly urge clients to make provision financially for their pets unexpected emergencies or seek medical insurance.

We DO NOT work on credit and work strictly on payment on receipt of invoice.

Outstanding invoices will be charged both administrative fees and interest and further steps will be taken after 30 days.

Payment plans will be considered only in exceptional cases with long term existing clients and need to be discussed and agreed upon PRIOR to any treatment given. Interest will still apply to these accounts.

We appreciate and thank our clients for their support and understanding.
