Time for a new adventure. Myself and my mom have had the privilege to meet incredible people in this sport. From creating a club from the ground up to what is was we cannot thank everyone enough for the support. These jumps which started their lives at Kurland are now on their way back to Plett to support Jenny Pope and her venue Misty Morn. We will always try keep eventing alive but it's time for others to take the reins. We look forward to the shows at Misty Morn and the adventures to come.

How awesome is this horse. Nickelback in the 1.15m class this weekend having a ball. His really special. Our first foal which makes it even more special.

Early start. Making our way to George Riding Club to plot and plan cross country courses for their July show. Making sure our ponys and riders have the mileage for The Great North Expedition in August.

Run Away Fire
This youngster just keeps getting better every time he goes out. The going was wet and sticky thankfully not slippery. But made it heavy going. Dressage was fabulous on 70% in a sloshy arena. Jumping was a breeze. Then came the fun part of the cross country. Well warm up was entertaining as he watched everyone go round their courses while we waited for our turn. This horse is just incredible. Second proper cross country and his like I'm keen. Still very aware of the surroundings but happy to jump his jumps and carry on. Getting strong confident and the facial expressions are just the best. Run Away Fire upping his game into the 85cm class at GEORGE RIDING CLUB May eventing show. 75% dressage clear showjumping clear cross-country but time penalties as baby horses don't need to go fast. The willing to please and showing me how brave he is was amazing. This is going to be a special one.

My love hate relationship with this horse will continue. Makes me work so hard every day for an inch of his talent. I love hard work don't get him wrong but man he makes me frustrated. But that small inch he does give makes me want to keep working harder. He has taught me so much. And love the fact I can jump around a 1.30m track and it's starting to feel easier. And then next minute get on him and do a fabulous medium dressage test. The talent he has. But the small braincell🤣 but we love him no matter what. Anke van Wyk your photos are always incredible and so prompt to get them to us. We appreciate you❤️

This horse is just incredible. Last minute entry with lack of jumping and he comes to a show like a pro. Nickelback is one serious horse that I can honestly say loves to jump.

Run Away Fire. First proper eventing show. Yes 65cm it's small we know but it was his first travel away from home first new Venue and first time doing the actual three phase. This horse is just amazing with his very mature attitude and willing to learn. Faultless show and easy attitude you cannot get better than this for a four year old. Thank you Germanpix - Anke van Wyk Event Photography for coming to Plett and capturing the moments.

So today we had our first competition. We hosted Sunshine Coast Eventings first competition for the year. An Arena Eventing which was sponsored by . What fun we had with some amazing support from everyone. Thank you everyone.

Run Away Fire
Doing his first 90cm show at a very busy show. His babiness came through but his attitude in staying calm and learning is amazing. One pole in each class due to distraction at a very scary judges box but couldn't be happier with his progress.

Musical Ponies

Travel mounted around a circle of mounting blocks, when the music stops, jump off and stand on a block. One will be removed with each round. Last one standing wins.

Pass the Parcel

Pass the Parcel mounted from one rider to the other, when music stops, the rider holding the parcel must unwrap a layer (mounted). Each layer will contain a prize, nothing or a restriction ( remove one stirrup, one hand behind back). Last layer contains the prize.

Gymkhana Obstacle course

A timed obstacle course including bendy poles, sac race, apple bobbing and much more. First to finish wins!

Each game will have different difficulty levels depending on entries.

SAVE THE DATE. Thursday the 21st March is a PUBLIC HOLIDAY and we will be hosting Sunshine Coast Eventing Arena eventing and it will also be a SANESA qualification. Loads of prizes to be won and fun to be had. Also look out for the games list. There will be adult versions too. The arena is a fenced off area so bring the newbies and the littlies for a fun day out.
