Hello all,

WELCOME!

As many already know the original physio clinic - BettaPet Veterinary Therapy. I am sure you can imagine this has come extremely unexpectedly but grateful to every opportunity that comes my way. The year has had a very strange and sad start but hoping for healing, growth and rejuvenation going forward in the year ahead!

Dudu and Wendy who initially worked for South City Vet's grooming parlour are still here to service your pups with the bestest grooms with the best products on the market.

I look forward to developing this small business further while it is in the very capable hands of Dudu and Wendy.

For now please share, spread the word and support us in this new venture. We really appreciate it from the very bottoms of our hearts.

It is with very heavy hearts that we need to announce the permanent closure of South City Veterinary Clinic.

Our boss..second dad..dad and uncle to so many fur babies and the man who is loved by everyone has given his all for so many years and is unfortunately no longer able to do so as his body has forced him to take the time out to recover 🙏

We thank each and every one of our much loved and valued clients for your loyal support over the years. Without you we would have been nothing. We shall miss seeing all of your faces and your furkid faces and paws as they walked in and out of our doors 💜

Today a very precious furchild gained her angel wings and left many broken hearts behind 🩷

This little lady spent 14 years being fully loved and absolutely adored by the Sim family 🩷

She had pamper sessions at the clinic every week and loved nothing more than sitting on her dad's desk while being doted apon..we will miss your pretty little face Gigi 💔

We are thrilled to announce BettaPet has a home!

Our home visits will always be a favorite chapter of this journey but with circumstances changing our home visits will slow down and I will welcome you into my new home.

📍6 3rd Avenue, Walmer

I am looking forward to this new chapter and excited for the healing water in this pool. We pride ourselves in a clean, safe and warm environment for your furkids to feel comfortable and happy. The water is tested regularly and adjusted as needed. Not all cases require hydrotherapy and do have land based therapy exercises as indicated by the case.

Hydrotherapy has always been a popular form of rehabilitation dating back as early as the ancient Egyptians, Greek and Roman civilizations. Water is healing. It is able to create awareness to the body by how it wraps around the limbs stimulating our proprioceptors (awareness receptors in our bodies) which is why it is amazing for neurological cases. The water also forms great resistance for muscle strengthening while resting the joints of their body weight making it excellent for orthopedic (arthritis, surgeries & overweight cases)

Safe practice is critical and therefore there is always a trained practitioner in the pool with your furkid. Tracking the amount of time and sets in the water is also done in order to compare progression and set a base on which to improve.

This is an addition to the toolbox but physiotherapy and the use of one’s trained hands on the body is still the primary focus.

Thank you to all my clients for the support and encouragement and most importantly patience during this process. I hope to offer you an improved service with this new modality in the future.
