What you need to know about The Solarium ☀️

A solarium is a device designed to produce short-wave infrared light and heat similar to that produced by the sun. Unlike the sun’s rays, a solarium doesn’t produce harmful UV rays.

The heat generates a form of energy that increases metabolic activity in the cells, thereby improving blood circulation and causing ‘capillary dilation’ to occur.

This process increases blood flow through the body and brings oxygen and nutrients to the cells. The increased circulation improves muscle condition and elasticity, which you may notice creates better suppleness and performance in your horse, as well as helping to reduce the chance of injury and speeding up the recovery process in injured horses.

Heres some more interesting info on Ozone Therapy:

Ozone therapy is a unique approach to the treatment of certain wounds

Ozone is an immune stimulator. It is bactericidal, and kills fungus and viruses as well.

You can nebulise a horse that has pneumonia to help kill the bacteria in his lungs and oxygenate the tissue.

An ozone machine is like a mini-hyperbaric chamber and can have wonderful effects on infected tissues. Infected or gangrenous wounds can be bagged with the ozone machine as well.

In the presence of disease, the cell environment always suffers from lower levels of pH and less oxygen. Ozone Therapy is used to boost the amount of oxygen in the body
