Looking back on another wet week last month at the 2025 Horse of the Year show with Uncatchable(Leo), owned by the Dros family.

Leo is a showstopper of a thoroughbred. Thriving in the show ring.

Vay and Obelix had their first outing as a team in the Young Horse Potential Dressage classes at Horse Of The Year.
They managed to win their class with a super score. This is a very exciting new combination for the future.

Some more facelift projects are under way. Vay has replanted all the hanging baskets and been busy treating the woodwork around the stables.
Nothing beats the greenery summer brings and a touch of colour.

We are constantly doing upgrades and renovations. It seems never ending but sometimes it’s good to appreciate how far things are coming along.
These are just two in a series of before and afters.

None of this would be possible without such a dedicated team and loyal clients.

After all the rain we’ve been having over the last few days, we at Wesman Stables are super lucky to have an arena that drains so well.
Raked it as soon as the rain let up this morning and we were ready to go.

The arena is available for bookings from outside riders, should they wish to school or have a jump.

🔵 Show News 🔵

This past weekend Elzemarie Ras competed with Phoenix at the Maple Ridge show.

She had a super show in the J/A 1m classes. They managed to pick up a 4th 🏵️ place in both classes.

This past weekend was a busy Showjumping weekend for Wesman Stables.

Melia Dros competed at Kyalami Park Equestrian in the J/A 1.00m classes. They came home with an 11th 🏅 and a 3rd 🥉

Shaun competed in the Steyn City Equestrian Centre Grand Prix in the 1.35m and 1.40m classes. They had some great rounds. Really establishing themselves in the 1.40m.

Melia Dros doing Wesman Stables and EquiWest proud at the Cornwall Hill College High School Awards.
They received full colours for Equestrian sports as well as the Junior Rider of the Year award.

13/10/24 Melia Dros and Mini took on their first 1m show at Burlington Stables. Her results were as follows:

1m A2 Competition - 2nd 🥈
1m 2Phase Competition - 3rd 🥉

Well done Melia. You and Mini have come on hugely in the last year and having gone up not just one but two grades seamlessly.
