Videos like this one remind me that even reactive dogs can have friends. The white dog, Stewie, is the reactive dog meaning he becomes aggressive towards other dogs in certain situations. However, by management we have decreased his reactivity. Therefore, allowing him to be his true self and make friends. It's also important to find other dogs that are experts at reading body language. Both Chino and Lynx could read his body language and therefore they knew how to play with him. It just shows how important it is to socialise your dog 🐕

Bear urgently needs a new home. His current home can no longer look after him due to financial issues. Bear has grown up isolated so he's a bit skittish towards strangers. However, with patience and lots of treats he'll be the ultimate cuddle buddy. He is used to sleeping inside so we'd love to get him a home that allows him inside. He was raised in a family with multiple dogs and cats. He's 9months old and already sterilised and microchipped. His vaccinations are not up to date. He's about medium/large size.

9week old kittens urgently looking for forever homes. They were abandoned in a veld and left to fend for themselves. Their current foster home currently has no finances to look after them anymore. These kittens lives are also in danger because the family has dogs so the kittens are locked inside a room the whole day.

All we ask is that the sterilisation be paid as an adoption fee. The female is R920 (tabby and white) and the males are R700 (both black and white). However, the kittens will be vaccinated and microchipped before going into their new homes.

Xena has this cute wobble when she goes for a walk! This is a very special child and we are honoured to look after her 🥰

Run Bones, run!!

Polly is one of our older guests, but that does not mean she can't chase the Kiewiets 😂

Another example of dogs going back to their kennel all on their own (Bones and Polly)

Lots of times we get asked by owners: "You let them run free? How do you get them back into the kennel? Mine will never go back inside". The answer is easy: They go back all by themselves! Here's an example. Please note we have never been able to touch this dog or his brother. We treat each dog individually!

Skommie and Stewie playing while Skommie enjoys some free roaming. He's definitely a golden child 🥰

Here our resident dog named Stewie (white dog) is trying to encourage Oortjies to play with him. Oortjies is a very scared child that needs patience and lots of love. Our Stewie knew this and made sure to play with her where she was comfortable, like on the couch. We are so privileged to have such amazing dogs to assist our boarders with coming out of their shells.

Look at them run! It's always a nice feeling to see our boarders enjoying their free time. Here's Riva and Charmy having a race to see who's the fastest. I think it's safe to say Charmy won! 😂
