• You need to visit the SPCA and meet the pets available for adoption.
• Please make an appointment via email: [email protected] (Centurion branch) or [email protected] (Waltloo branch).
• An adoption application is completed and a R202 (non-refundable) deposit is paid to reserve the pet. This amount will be deducted from the full adoption fee.
• If you are adopting a dog, and already
have a dog(s), you are required to bring them to the SPCA branch for a “meet & greet” to confirm compatibility.
• The following documentation is required: Copy of ID, proof of residence and a letter from the body corporate or property owner confirming that you may keep pets if you live in an estate, complex or rented property. After all documentation is received and compatibility is approved, a home check will be conducted by the SPCA Tshwane.
• All adoption applications are subject to approval from an SPCA Tshwane Inspector.
• Once the home check is approved, the pet will be sterilised, microchipped, vaccinated and dewormed.
• You will be notified when your adopted pet is ready to go home. If you live on a plot or farm then you are allowed more.
• Should you live in a complex, estate or rented property, you are required to provide a letter from the Body Corporate or property owner confirming that you may keep pets.
• Your application may be turned down if you have pets at home that are kept in cages (rabbits, birds, reptiles, etc).
• The compatibility meeting as well as the sterilisation are non-negotiable. What is included in the adoption fee? Adoption fees:
Adult cat - R650
Adult dog - R850
Puppies and kittens under 6 months old - R990
All adopted pets are sterilised, microchipped, vaccinated and dewormed before the adoption. Thank you for your interest in adopting the next member of your family from the SPCA!
