Enroll in the EduPet 4-week foundational puppy training module, tailored to develop essential life skills. This module focusses on calmness, proximity, focus, engagement, optimism, and relationship-building. These are building blocks for learning behaviours such as settle down/on your bed, 4-Feet-on-the-floor, recall (come when called), loose-leash walking and safe play with other dogs.

This module is the first of 3 training modules, each building on the last, and finally resulting in a trusting and co-operative relationship with your canine kid.

It’s tick season again!

Heat ☀️ + Rain 🌧️ = Perfect environment for ticks 🌾

What’s more, these little parasites are masters of stealth and survival. They can live comfortably for quite some time just about anywhere, including indoor and outdoor areas, without being seen.

Unfortunately, ticks can carry a variety of diseases which could be passed on to their host. Most commonly in South Africa, ticks can cause tick-bite fever (babesiosis).

The best way to protect your pet is by administering a vet-approved preventative parasite treatment. These treatments come in oral and spot-on application types, and are readily available from your local vet shop. So get some today! Your pet will thank you 🐶🐱🧡

P.S. Tick, flea and deworming treatment is a must before hotel visits and doggie daycare 😉

Hey there, pet parents! We wanted to give you a head’s up that our grooming parlour and doggie daycare will be closed for a little while over the December holidays.

We’re expecting almost 200 hotel guests this year, so we’ll be focussing all of our team’s efforts on making sure it’s an awesome holiday for all! 🐶🐱

The Animal Hospital and Vet Shop will be open from 09:00 to 12:00.

The Kennels & Cattery (Boarding, Daycare & Grooming) will be open from 08:00 to 17:00.

Throwback Thursday!

In April this year, we had the privilege of re-uniting Jill, Lucky and Simba with their humans (and new fur-sibling, Papiso) near Hoedspruit in Mpumalanga. It was a long journey from Qatar to Pretoria to Hoedspruit, but these doggos handled everything like superstars!

As our drivers were leaving, the client said to them, "You have a wonderful job, because you make people happy." And we couldn't agree more! It's the most rewarding part of our job to see the joy of families re-united, and it's what motivates us to keep doing our best no matter the obstacles.
