Is Your Pet’s Microchip Up to Date?

We know how much your pets mean to you, and their safety is just as important to us. At Valley Farm, we take in many lost pets, and while microchips are a wonderful tool to help them find their way home, we often come across unregistered chips or outdated contact details—making reunions much harder than they should be.

A quick check can make all the difference! If you haven’t updated your pet’s microchip information in the last year, now is a great time to do so.

How to check if your chip is registered and correct:
✔ Visit your vet to scan the chip and confirm the details.
✔ Check that your contact information is correct and up to date on the chip companies app or website.
✔ if you have your pet’s chip number available, call your vet and ask them to check if your information is registered.

We have put together a list of microchip companies in South Africa in case you are unsure what chip your pet has.
