Unleashed Pets is a general Pet Store based in Garsfontein PTA. We specialise in freshwater fish and all related hardware / foods / livestock.

The ideal candidate is someone who is looking for an adhoc / part-time role. Minimum of two days a week, one of which is a Sunday, someone with a flexible schedule would be best suited for the position.

You will be responsible for running the day to day activities of the store including (but not limited to) manning the till, assisting customers, engaging suppliers, scheduling, booking and packing shipments for courier.

Training will be provided.

The Basics of a Betta Fish Keeping

Betta fish can live up to 3 years old.
They can grow up to 3 inches long.
A single male betta fish can sometimes be kept in a large community aquarium without any other bettas, but they should be monitored closely.
Bettas are great beginner pets that don’t take up a lot of space.

Aquarium

Bettas need an aquarium with at least (11 liters), a filter and a heater. Set up their new home at least one - two weeks before they arrive.

What Should I Feed My Betta Fish?

Feed your betta fish food flakes or betta fish pelleted food 1-2 times daily and follow the manufacturers recommendations for frequency. Bettas are carnivores, so supplement the betta fish food with frozen or freeze-dried brine shrimp or tubifex worms.
