Help Us Keep Our Animals Safe and Happy

At Cast Aways Animal Sanctuary, we feel like we're always begging and pleading, but our love for these animals drives us to do everything possible to care for them. As many of you know, we are currently facing a very difficult time, with donations coming in only sporadically. All our adoption fees go directly toward vet bills and purchasing food for the animals.

We've tried everything to raise funds — from stalls at market days to our Guardian Angel Program, sponsoring our animals, and recently, Checkers' mini booklet auction. Despite these efforts, we still face critical needs.

Recently, we welcomed 4 dumped dogs from Loumarina where mommy gave birth to 10 puppies, now 8 weeks old. We also recently took in Ash, who wandered into our shelter. To ensure their safety and well-being, we urgently need two large dog kennels.

We can acquire each large kennel for
R1 940, but we need your help to raise the funds for both. Any donation, big or small, would be greatly appreciated and will go directly toward purchasing these kennels.

As we light up our homes with joy and laughter, let’s not forget our furry friends who may find the loud noises and bright flashes scary. 💥🐶🐱

Here’s how you can help keep them safe and calm:

* Keep pets indoors during fireworks.

* Create a cozy, quiet space for them to rest.

* Play soft music or keep the TV on to mask loud sounds.

* Skip the fireworks during the celebration

* Make sure they’re wearing an ID tag or microchip—just in case they get scared and run off.

On the morning of October 10th, this adorable girl walked into our shelter alongside our staff — and sadly, no one has come forward to claim her.

She’s a mixed-breed puppy, under 6 months old, and expected to grow into a medium to large-sized dog. She’s full of energy, loves to play with other dogs, and has the sweetest personality. 💕

This little one deserves to grow up in a loving home — not in a shelter. Please consider opening your heart and home before the holiday season. No puppy should spend their first holidays without a family.
