Using a long line when walking your dog can be beneficial for several reasons:

👑 Training Purposes: A long line provides your dog with more freedom to explore and move around while still being able to connect with your dog.

👑 Safety: In open or unfamiliar areas, a long line can offer an added layer of safety for your dog. This can prevent accidents, keep your dog out of harm's way, and give you peace of mind during walks.

👑 Control and Management: For dogs that are still learning leash manners or tend to pull, a long line can help you manage their behaviour effectively. It gives you more leverage to guide your dog, redirect their attention, and prevent them from getting too far away. This can make the walking experience more enjoyable for both you and your dog.

There a 6 different types of walks you can take with your dog:

Decompress walk: The goal is to allow your dog to relax after a stressful experience. These types of walk are perfect in quiet places where your dog feels comfortable.

Exercise Walks: These walks are oriented to physically tire your dog out.

Park Visist: Be it a public or private park visit, these walks can often be more social, have more opportunities to sniff and or play.

Social Walk: When going on a walk with dogs your dog already knows and enjoys spending time with.

Training Walk: During this walk your main goal and focus is to do some training with your dog.

Sniffari: My personal favourite walk, allowing your dog to sniff during their walk. The pace is normally slower but it's still excellent exercise for your dog.
