The two fur-babies luckily only needed a scale and polish to help remove a little bit of plaque and tartar. Thanks to Dr Lyndi and Sr Chantel they will be going home with shiney teeth and fresh breath.🐶🐶
• Dental health is a very important part of your pets overall health and dental problems can cause or be cause by other health problems.

Being basically shy by nature, the veiled chameleons coil themselves in a tight fetal position, the moment they feel threatened, and darken their body color (especially tan). They take time to uncoil themselves and come back to their normal state again, until they feel safe.
In general, veiled chameleons love solitary life. Males are very territorial and are very aggressive to each other. Hence, as pets, two males shouldn’t be kept together. Although, two females are comfortable with each other, as long as it is not the breeding season.

The leopard tortoise is the fourth largest species of tortoise in the world. Leopard tortoises are crepuscular. (Most active during early morning and just before the sun sets.)
Unlike some other tortoise species, leopard tortoises do not dig unless they are preparing a nest to lay eggs in. They are herbivores and graze on grasses. The leopard tortoise is a member of the Small 5 (along with the rhino beetle, the red-billed buffalo weaver, the elephant shrew and the antlion).
Captive leopard tortoises can live for 100+ years. The base of the shell is called the “plastron” and its shape differs between the sexes.

With proper training, the perky Pomeranian can make an excellent, loyal companion who can even serve as an effective guard dog. And like many small dogs, they live for a long time, up to 16 years.
Characteristics of the Pomeranian
Tiny Pomeranians generally have a bold and lively temperament. Their personality is much bigger than their diminutive size, and they're quite vocal. They can act as alert watchdogs, but their excessive barking could be an issue for apartment or condo dwellers.
These dogs tend to be affectionate with family, and may bond tightly with one person. But they're still not a great option for a first-time dog parent.

Today we had an interesting patient come in for a castration. Our patient is Koedoe, the Fennec fox! He was gently handled until he was awake and ready to cause chaos by our nurse Sr Chantelle Chapple. They have the biggest ears of all foxes and they know how to use them to get love!
