UPDATE: Dunamic
This sweet boy had six sessions in our hyperbaric chamber and he loved everything minute. Oxygen therapy helped with his recovery, infection and wound healing.
Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is not an alternative to standard veterinary practice, but a complementary therapy that aids to it.
Dumi is still under veterinary care but on his way to full recovery.
Thank you Chantezé Blignaut ❤️and dad for being the best mommy and daddy to this special boy. You have been traveling far every day to make sure your baby gets the best possible care. Thank you for sending us updates on his recovery.
We are happy Dumi is doing better and he’s a happy boy again. We are missing him already.
See videos in comments. More updates to follow.

DUNAMIC

This sweet boy was involved in a dog fight through no fault of his own and is receiving oxygen therapy for his wounds at our state of the art facility in Fourways.

Used in conjunction with other preventative and treatment regimes, hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) can deliver anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial and tissue-healing benefits, accelerating healing dramatically.

Get well soon sweet DUNAMIC.

❤️ BUBBLES ❤️
The bulldog that reached many hearts, put tears in many eyes and brought so many of us together.
A story with a happy ending!
A story we lived and enforced our belief that what we offer is a treatment that undeniably helps animals in many ways.
Once again, our hyperbaric oxygen therapy chamber showed its benefits.

❤️ Bubbles was in a terrible condition when she was admitted at The Society for Animals in Distress with severe wounds to her head. She was involved in a dog fight and the wounds were left untreated for three weeks before she was rescued.
Her ear has been mauled and parts of the skin have died off. She underwent surgery to remove the dead parts of her ear. The veterinarian noticed that Bubbles was struggling with her eyes and she was suffering with a condition called Entropion, in which the eyelid is turned inward and the eyelashes and skin rub on the eye surface causing discomfort and can lead to permanent loss of sight. A second surgery was performed almost immediately in an attempt to save her eyes.
After the second surgery, the amazing people looking after Bubbles concentrated more on treating her wounds. The condition of her eyes could only be determined days later, a long wait for the ones that cared and loved Bubbles so much already. Good news did arrive after her eye assessment that her eyes have been saved and she will have a normal life after she recovered from all this.
A long recovery process followed and Bubbles was treated with acupuncture, physiotherapy, reiki and hyperbaric oxygen therapy in our Oxypet chamber.
Bubbles spent many hours in our veterinary hyperbaric chamber, which helped with speeding up her recovery.
Reconstructive surgery followed and Bubbles is now a happy dog that will soon be ready to go to her forever home.

We are very proud to be part of Bubbles incredible story and beyond happy that we could help this special girl.

The OxyPet Story

OxyPet was founded by two entrepreneurial friends with a common passion of working with animals. We each had our own successful business, a travel agency and a personal training business prior to the Covid 19 outbreak. With the onset of the pandemic, both businesses were significantly impacted, resulting in us deciding to become business partners and follow our (long overdue) desire to work with animals.

With a strong belief that our pets deserve the best that we can offer them, our passion for animals and our previous exposure to MHBOT, we embarked on this amazing journey and strive to provide our clients and their pets with an alternative therapy in conjunction with standard medicine and medical treatment, with the aim of providing the utmost care and the best possible results, in a safe environment.

We are looking forward to working with all veterinarians, animal rehabilitation therapists and pet owners and we aim to build many trusting relationships that will grow over the years.
