Hop Haven Hop Haven Bunny Rescue is a rescue centre aimed at finding forever homes for unwanted bunnies. Please note that we are NOT open to the public!

We raise awareness and educate the public about the correct care of rabbits. Hop Haven Bunny Rescue is home to around 50-80 bunnies that have been rescued from a number of different circumstances. We run primarily on the money that is brought in through our Open Day shops and with donations. We rescue, sterilise and give bunnies a safe and loving home until they find their forever homes. ion procedure is fairly simple and we do whatever we can to find our bunnies the best homes that they deserve. Each bunny has their own personality and individual preferences. 🐰 DID YOU KNOW? 🐰

✨ Rabbits have 28 teeth – not just the obvious front ones! They have:
• 4 sharp incisors (the big front teeth)
• 2 tiny peg teeth right behind the top incisors (a bunny secret!)
• 22 cheek teeth for grinding their food

🦷 Their teeth grow about 8–12 cm every year and never stop. That’s why unlimited hay and chew toys are essential – they keep teeth worn down naturally.

🌱 Rabbits also need to eat constantly – their digestive system works best when food is always moving through it. That’s why hay should make up most of their diet.

👂 And here’s a fun fact: A rabbit’s ears aren’t just cute – they help regulate body temperature and can even rotate almost 270° to listen for danger!

💡 Tip for bunny parents: Unlimited hay + safe chew toys + regular vet checks = healthy, happy bunnies.

Madam Jewel 🤍🩷🤍

This sweet princess and her sisters are such friendly, sweet bunnies!

Jewel is always the first one waiting for me at the gate every day, ready for some love and attention 🥹

This not-so-little lady is a New Zealand Giant girl. This breed is amazing and all the NZ Giants I have had have been the sweetest most relaxed bunnies I've ever met 🌼 I think they are ideal for families who have a nice outdoor space to let the bunnies run around and play, while still having family time with their humans 🐇

Jewel is spayed and is around 1 year old now. She is a healthy, happy, super sweet girl who is patiently waiting for a place to call home 🎀

Everyone meet Bean / Jean the Bean / Jelly Bean 🤍

Beany was given to us by a vet clinic who picked them up. With nowhere safe to go, little Bean luckily found himself in one of our amazing foster's home getting yummy food, lots of love and a second chance at a loving home.

About Bean:

🤍 Personality: while still a little wary of people, Bean does love cuddles and snuggles with his safe people. He's learning to trust quickly and is coming out of her shell 🩷

Meet Aurora, Jewel and Pearl - 3 beautiful New Zealand giant girls looking for a place to call "home" 🩷

These sweet girls were rescued a year ago when their moms were dumped and each had a litter 2 days after being rescued. The girls were reserved fairly quickly but unfortunately their home has fallen through and they are back up for adoption.

The 3 can either be adopted as a trio or individually as friends for other bunnies 🌷

These girlies are massive and SO friendly! They are gentle giants that love hanging around people and are so excited to see me every day 🩷 they LOVE snacks and go nuts for their pellets!

These girls have all been spayed already and are around 1 year old now 🐰 They would love a home with a big garden where they can run, explore and play!

Bunny and Pixie 🐰

Meet our newest rescues, Bunny and Pixie, who very sadly needed to be urgently surrendered this week.

Their previous owner rescued Bunny from an awful home and Pixie was a dumped bunny that the owner took in. Both were sterilized and bonded and have been together with their owner for 6 years 🩷

Unfortunately, their very sweet, very loving owner has needed to be booked into assisted care and could not take her babies with her. These 2 sweet angels are now looking for a new home to call their own.

About the bun buns:
🐰 Bunny: Male, neutered - 9 years old dwarf mix jersey wooly
🐰 Pixie: female, spayed - around 6-7 years old
🐰 Ideal home: indoor home with outdoor play area

These babies will be ready to leave when they are 6-8 weeks old but we would love to have their new homes ready and waiting for when they are allowed leave 🤍 the babies will only be adopted out in same-s*x pairs OR as friends for sterilized / same s*x bunnies looking for bunny friends 🌼 they will all be sterilized when old enough as well through our rescue vets 🐇

The two baking bread loaves: Comet and Scout 🤍

These love bugs are still waiting for a home to call their own 🌼 they are outdoorsy bunnies who love sleeping in the sun, doing zoomies and big binkies. Scout especially cannot sit still for 5 minutes and she is the happiest girl ever with constant binkies!

Scout and Comet adore each other and are constantly snuggled up, grooming each other 🤍

A bit about the pair:
🤍 Age: 2-3 years old
🤍 Genders: Scout - female, Comet - Male
🤍 Both sterilized
🤍 Requirements: safe, secure outdoor home (garden/courtyard/ large enclosure) as they are very playful and need lots of space
🤍 Comet: shy, quiet, gentle boy who loves napping and snacking
🤍 Scout: busy bee princess who always runs to greet you, do the biggest binkies and zoom zooms, super social

Meet Angus 🤍

This sweet boy was recently rescued from free roaming on a farm. He unfortunately was getting very matted and uncomfortable with his long, knotted fur. He's been groomed and given a fresh cut this week and is staying indoors now staying warm and cozy 🤗

Angus is a sweet, healthy boy and surprisingly tame for a farm bunny 🐇

About Angus:
🎀 Male, neutered
🎀 +- 4 years old
🎀 Would need a home willing to keep him groomed
🎀 Shy boy that would need a patient, loving home (preferably no kids)
🎀 Angus can be adopted alone to allow him to settle into a new home and environment before getting a friend
