When Glenda phoned me last week to book in her two most precious boys, and told me each one's individual story, my heart broke into pieces....
4 years since she has adopted them from Spaniel Welfare Sa, each groom they have been muzzled.
I decided we Wil not start their journey with me muzzled so with Finn being food driven, I was ready with Boerewors and treats, we only needed to bath them as a introduction to me and grooming in the future. Finn was absolutely beautiful, spend some time with him just getting use to the bath, me touching him but like a pro he got into the bath, like a pro he let me touch him, comb him and dry him, and then his beautiful personality shone through, he rolled around, play bowed and was comfortable and happy.
Today Sir Spencer came for his groom, as Spencer is driven by his toys the Boerewors was not an immediate ice breaker. But still he ate it, again after spending some time for him to just feel comfortable with me, me touching him and understanding all is good and his mom will definitely come to get him, like his brother he walked up the stairs, into the bath, sat down for his bath, and like a boss sat for the dryer to be used. Spencer defnitely a bit more cautious and way more eager than Finn to leave, left after 4 years of a muzzled, with alot to say, clean and happy.
Love loved loved having these 2 in for their groom. And so glad that I decided no muzzle..
Sorry Glenda for nearly giving u a heartattack for saying no muzzle, but your boys did you proud!!!
