🧨🌩🎆 Fireworks/Thunder SCARES PETS‼️‼️

Are you prepared to help your animals through the fireworks/thunderstorms?✨✨

-Keep your animals INSIDE with a television or radio to drown out the noise.

-Create a safe place for them inside your house to hide, and maybe keep the curtains closed so they can't see the lights in the sky from inside.

-If possible stay at home with them and keep them calm, sometimes your presence is all they need.

-Get them distractions to keep busy: safe chew toys or treats might keep them busy during the display.

-Get them the correct calming meds from your vet to take the edge off. Make sure to contact the Vet in time; sometimes pets need to be seen before they can give certain medications.

❗️Keep Your Pet Safe During the Heat Wave❗️

🔥Heat Waves Aren't Just Dangerous for You – They're Risky for Your Pets Too!🔥

☀️Pets Can Overheat Fast:
Pets, especially dogs and cats, can suffer from heatstroke, dehydration, and burns from hot pavement. Their bodies struggle to cool down in extreme heat, and they rely on us to keep them safe.

☀️Know the Signs of Heatstroke:
Watch for signs like excessive panting, drooling, lethargy, vomiting, or bright red gums. If you spot any of these, move your pet to a cooler area and contact a vet immediately.

🔥Tips to Keep Your Pet Safe:🔥

1. Limit Outdoor Time:
Avoid walks during peak heat (usually 10 AM - 4 PM). Early morning or late evening is best for exercise.

2. Always Provide Fresh Water:
Make sure your pet has access to clean, cool water at all times.

3. Create a Cool Spot:
Keep pets indoors during the hottest part of the day in a cool, shaded space. Use fans or air conditioning if possible.

4. Avoid Hot Pavement:
The ground can get dangerously hot. Test it with your hand; if it's too hot for you, it's too hot for your pet's paws.

5.Never Leave Pets in a Car:
Even with the windows cracked, temperatures can rise rapidly in a car, leading to fatal heatstroke.
