Candidates are required to:

- Be in possession of a valid South African driver’s license and own transport.
- Have the ability to communicate fluently in English and Afrikaans.
- Have good leadership and communication skills.
- Be of sober habits.
- Have police clearance.
- Possess good time management and interpersonal skills.
- Have the ability to work independently as well as within a team.
- Maintain a high standard of ethics and discretion.
- Be able to follow instructions.
- Preferably have experience working with animals.
- Be computer literate and have good administration skills.
- Be willing to work overtime and on weekends when necessary.
- Have Grade 12/Standard 10 (Matric) level of education.
- Have a commitment towards the values of the SPCA.
- Must preferably stay in the Uitenhage/Despatch area.

We were so happy to get this lovely pic and awesome update on Meisie and Dulux from the Migidi family: "Dulux will see a human knocking, go upstairs to call Meisie as though to say stay right there, I call the grown-ups and she will literally come go down the stairs to see what's going on. I was blown away when my wife told me that she's been noticing that they talk with one another. They really are there for each other." Feedback like this makes our heart sing, particularly when there is a story behind the "story", which goes like this: Both Meisie and Dulux were thrown a curved ball in life, but thanks to families like the Migidi's, the end result can be life changing💓. The Migidi's paid us a visit in December 2023 looking to adopt a "small doggie" but the outcome left us howling with laughter and incredibly grateful. We are still not sure how Meisie, our Rottie, managed to convince them she was that small dog but she stole their hearts and it was clearly a match made in heaven🤗. The care and obvious tlc she has received is evident and she is absolutely stunning! So, the time came when the family felt Meisie was ready for a friend. Were we surprised when they asked to meet Dulux? Not at all. When Dulux came in, he had literally given up on life - his eyes reflected an emptiness and immense sadness😢, his coat was so matted that it took 3 hours to remove 2kg of fur but finally we got the first tail wag🙏🏻. On the 1st June 2024, despite horrendous weather conditions, the Migidi's arrived with Meisie for a meet and greet - no amount of rain or mud deterred anyone, the two were instant friends💃💃 and are now inseparable. The Migidi's willingness to adopt what some might call "broken souls" proves that with patience, understanding and love, those broken souls can be healed and have happy ever afters💓🐾.

Adopted just over 3 years ago, ANNA and MIKA are most certainly living their forever dream💓with the wonderful MEYER family. They seem to be quite happy to share " their house"🤭with Wilhelm and Hantie🤣🐾!

🐱⭐️ KITTY WEDNESDAY ⭐️🐱 This video was taken on a very rainy day and Pickles was the only one of the siblings who braved the weather 😊. Pickles is 1 of 4 gorgeous white kittens waiting for families to come adopt them. He is a super purrer 😍! Brother Pepper will also quickly come join in on the purring game 🤩. Brother Panda is the shy one but once he feels comfortable around you, he loves being stroked 🥰. Little sister Pearl is quite curious and enjoys belly rubs 🩷. This summer sun is tough on the siblings' ears/noses and kennel life doesn't always allow them complete shade all day long 😔. They are protected with sunscreen daily 😊 but they would much rather feel safe & protected inside a house where they can be playful kittens and not worry about the sun 🫶. The kittens are about 6 months old and ready to find responsible humans to take them home 😍. They would need to be indoor kitties 🙏. PLEASE COME MEET AND ADOPT THEM 🙏?
