SA Vaulting Championships 2024 🤩🤩

Quest Vaulting Institute Mpumalanga’s vaulters and horses brought their A Game 💪 We are so incredibly proud of our little team - they vaulted their hearts out & loved every second of being with their wonderful horses, even if it didn’t always go as planned 🤗

Team QVI is super excited to have the opportunity to compete at the South African Vaulting Championships this year. Our awesome vaulters and their horse will be vaulting their hearts from the 21st to the 24th of September at Kyalami Park Equestrian.

We are reaching out to individuals, as well as small and large businesses who would be interested in contributing towards the expenses of this milestone event for Team Mpumalanga. Items for goody bags and financial contributions of any size would be so appreciated.

**Gauteng Vaulting Championships 2024**

QVI MP had the opportunity to participate at the Gauteng Vaulting Championships held in JHB on the 13th & 14th of July. Vaulters, Oliveah Fourie & Abigail Arde demonstrated remarkable skill and determination, achieving podium results in ever my class despite the challenge of vaulting on a new horse in an unfamiliar environment.

Abigail Arde

🏅5th Place in E Grade Barrel: Abigail performed impressively, securing the 5th place out of 28 competitors with a commendable gold score of 6.584.

🥉3rd Place in E Grade Horse: Abigail achieved a gold score of 6.577, earning her a well-deserved 3rd place

Oliveah Fourie

🥇1st Place in D Grade Barrel: Oliveah secured 1st place with a personal best score of 6.589.

🥈2nd Place in D Grade Horse (Canter Rounds): Oliveah achieved a personal best score of 6.303, earning her the 2nd place.

South African Vaulting Championships 2023.

A core memory for QVI Mpumalanga and what a fabulous event it was.

Our vaulters, horse, coach & parents brought their A-game. Vaulters vaulted their hearts out and improved on their overall scores accumulated during the season. Forest gave his all to every single vaulter, Coach Carla lunged like she never has before and both accumulated some incredible horse/lunger scores.

Mpumalanga placed 3rd overall in the E grade Provincial Team Championship as well as 3rd place in the over all D grade Provincial Championship.

Incredibly grateful to every member of our team, the sponsors, and to Uplands College for making this dream an absolute reality.

Team Mpumalanga have arrived at the South African Vaulting Championships in KwaZulu-Natal 🐴

Dressed to impress & ready to strut their stuff over the next 3 days. Forest will also make his debut as the Mpumalanga team horse and it’s his very first time competing off home turf.

QVI Uplands hosted the MP provincial qualifier on the 29th of July, it was a wonderful afternoon enjoyed by our vaulters, judges and supporters.

For a lot of these young vaulters, it was the first time presenting their vaulting skills to our panel of judges and what a great way to do it on your home ground.

It was also Forest King’s very first official performance and boy did he put his best foot forward. Giving the vaulters that extra boost of confidence and looking absolutely fabulous doing so!

We are so proud to announce that the following vaulters have been selected to represent Mpumalanga at the South African Vaulting Championships taking place in Balito from the 21st to the 24th of September this year:

Gauteng 5th Selection Show Vasa & Sanesa Qualifier 27 May 2023.

Isabella Webber & Oliveah Fourie performed like absolute super stars this past weekend. A long and cold day for these 2 young competitors, however they vaulted their hearts out and displayed amazing sportsmanship right through to the end🤩

D Grade Barrel U12 - 🥈2nd place with a score of 6.2
D Grade Horse U12 - 🥈2nd place with a score of 5.9
SANESA D Grade Horse -🏅 6th place

Isabella Webber:
D Grade Barrel U12 - 🏅 5th place with a score of 6.1
E Grade Horse U12 - 🎖️Gold award with a score of 6.7
E Grade Horse SANESA -🏅 4th place

The girls also performed their first ever D grade barrel pairs routine as the Mad Hatter & Alice in Wonderland 🤩 Walking away with a super score of 6.659 and a second place 🥈 in SANESA & 3rd in Vasa. Melony Swart Ingram you out did yourself with their outfits, they were just so amazing 🤩 thank you!!

Step out of your comfort zone & try something new. Doesn’t have to be monumental but it does have to be different to the everyday thing. 🤩

Oliveah & Isabella are testing out the waters with their very first pairs routine. Alice & the Mad Hatter will be performing for the first time at the Gauteng qualifier this weekend.

Going to miss this ray of sunshine at vaulting ❤️ Come visit us as soon as you can! Leja will be waiting for you 😍

It is with a very sad and heavy heart that we bid farewell to Lia & Zoe and the Ziessler family, as they embark on their journey to their new home in Plett. We are going to miss you terribly and hope that you come to visit us regularly. We wish you all the best with this new chapter in your lives. So much love for you all ❤️❤️❤️

• CVI Kyalami•

Team QVI MP participated at the CVI in Kyalami on the 18th & 19th of March.

Oliveah & Lia tested out the waters in their very first D grade competition and did themselves very proud. Judged by a full international panel, we’ve taken home some very useful points for further training but also realised that we do this sport for the love and fun of it ❤️❤️
