You have all by now heard of another child in Cape Town who tragically lost his life, we cannot even begin to express our deepest condolences to the family.

This has triggered a knock-on effect, people are worried and scared and sadly taking matters into their own hands with the latest report from the SPCA about 3 Pit bull types being burnt to death. Call it what you will...mob justice but NO animal deserves this.

Please if you have a Pitbull and feel they are a risk or at risk, please consider surrendering your dog to your local Animal Welfare or SPCA. This is a far better option than the horrible fate they may face out there and there is no judgement that comes with surrendering if it is in the community and or your dogs best interests. If you know of or have information about dog abuse happening please again we urge you to contact the SPCA.

If you have a Pitbull, please ensure that you are extra vigilant. Keep them safely secured in your yard, they have always been a target for theft and dog fighting syndicates, but now the risks are much greater.

I will do anything for them BUT I do recognize that they are dogs and treat them accordingly😉
