This is a great way to get your toe in the water and discover what the discipline of Working Equitation is about. Working Equitation is not only a freestanding discipline, it is the app for good riding skills. And to quote Jorge Periera "Much more fun than just dressage."

You can join Jonty and Julie Harrison for a series of 3 online presentations to prepare you for the exciting discipline of Working Equitation in South Africa. Competitions are running in Working Equitation Gauteng, Mpumalanga, Limpopo, Western Cape Working Equitation Association and Working Equitation North West Province -ZAWE. From 2025 we are looking forward to KZN Working Equitation - ZAWE updates, Working Equitation Eastern Cape ,Freestate, and Northern Cape joining in hosting Working Equitation with SANESA and adult competitions being held.

Thank you Lichtenburg Equestrian Club and Julie Meijer for hosting a successful working Equitation training day. The venue was superbly turned out. Thank you to the sponsors who stepped up to the plate with wonderful prizes. Headlining were Epol, who gave an informative presentation on equine nutrition, and Arco 360, who offer the best products to insure your equine friend. Congratulations to the 14 competitors who were all awarded a ZAWE North West sticker for their participation.

Boskop Ryklub will be hosting the 2nd SANESA Working Equitation qualifier at Bekker Equestrian Centre on 18 March 2023. Entries are welcome from Gauteng and Northwest Province, the third qualifier will also be at Bekker Equestrian Centre on 29 April 2023.

For further skills, training www.workingequitationsimplified.com provides a great knowledge foundation and will allow you to get a certification as a Working Equitation judge or course builder.

www.wehorse.com is another source of great information! The trainer on their Working Equitation videos, the legendary Pedro Torres. These courses are aimed more at riders, than at qualifying officials.
